WOW! Been there! The only thing that works for me is to get in quiet surroundings and take deep slow breaths. Try to get your mind to relax by telling yourself that you do understand what is happening to you.
Keep your surroundings quiet, as stress free as you can and that is the best you can do.
Now, I am a Christian as well. Therefore, I pray for God’s peace and the power of prayer has come through for me several times.
Best of luck to you because I know this is not easy to deal with!

Sometimes a long walk will help me. I just take in all the surrounds me, the landscape, birds, flowers, feel the breeze against my face. Sometimes I listen to some good music, or just pray!!! I guess my thought is, when all else fails…PRAY! Give it all to His open arms.
My neighbor works out like crazy when she’s stressed, I do a bit, but prefer waling to sit ups! LOL! Good luck!

I CLEAN!! I clean everything and then I clean it again. If it happens at night while everyone is sleeping…and it sometimes does, I scrapbook….or play games online….
I also try very much to limit the stress in my life..I know easier said then done…but by removing some issues I was able to lower the amount of attacks I would have.
Good Luck!

My doctor treats my anxiety disorder with Adavan. I take it only when necessary to ease the mental pressure and it really does the job with no side affects. I figure that’s what they make it for – I might as well not suffer through days and days of worry and stress if they make a simple pill for it. Works for me. Good Luck!

I wear a necklace it has a charm on it and I concentrate on the feeling of it on my skin .
I think of an object say a castle and try to put details in my mind about it . This activates different areas of the brain .
Also if you know a second langauge make yourself translate somthing .
Do math problems .
Don’t tell yourself the worries shouldn’t be there or think of the cause . They are there and for now you let them go .
I used to keep a box on my desk and if something really got to me I’d write it on paper and stick it in the box . Everything will still be there waiting later when you are calmer and can handle it.
I keep peppermint oil in my purse and apply it to my wrist during an attack. The sharp smell of it seems to knock anxiety out of me I got mine at the health food store already mixed with a carrier oil not expensive. It’s this same stick

I have a lot of peppermint bath stuff too let those worries go down the drain.
Some people use other scents like vanila or orange . It can take some experiementing to see what works and doesn’t for you.
There are medications too but not everyone wants to be medicated and why not try to fix it yourself and if it doesn’t work then see the doctor
I find some doctors quick to push pills and less adapt to use simple things.
