He was nervous and most of his energy was gone. He was brought ashore and immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.
The trauma of drowning in the sea was over, but it took several days for Jason to recover. Recovery was partial because it was then that he started becoming a victim of anxiety attacks.

Jason developed a fear of the sea. He would never again venture to go swimming also. No matter how much we explained that it was not at all dangerous and there were guards all around, he refused to listen. It was as if he had become a different person.
