3. Avoid the intake of caffeine
Caffeine must be avoided since it increases the amount of insulin present in the blood, which in turn will decrease blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar is the common cause of depression. If a person is prone to depression, never offer him coffee or anything that contains caffeine since caffeine is one major element that triggers the nervous system to secrete depression hormones.
