A panic attack or anxiety attack is a period of intense, often temporarily debilitating, sense of extreme fear or psychological distress, typically of abrupt onset. Most sufferers of panic attacks report a fear of dying. People feel helpless and completely unable to deal with panic and anxiety attacks.

There is probably nothing more frightening than a panic or anxiety attack. Panic attacks are caused by high anxiety. It usually is not from a real threat and often is an imagined fear of some threat. The disorder is an extremely frightening emotional experience. The problem is when it manifests itself as a repeated and feared cycle within the persons psyche.

After a person experiences a panic attack for the first time, the experience can be so impacting that it leaves a strong imprint on the persons psyche. This mental imprint generates a cycle or loop of anxiety whereby the person develops an unhealthy fear of having another episode. People can spend anywhere from months to years caught in this repetitive cycle of anxiety.

The only way to fully eliminate panic and anxiety attacks from your life is to rid yourself of the thoughts of having another one.

Meditation exercises techniques, diet, prescribed medications and alternative medicines are not permenant cures. This article points you towards a solution that can rid you of this horrific disorder forever.

The technique employed is an advanced cognitive technique born from traditional psychology practices. This technique helps defuse the attack hours before the actual experience. With this technique there is no need to regress or to analyze your past or even hypnosis. All that is needed is your willingness to break the cycle of intense anxiety.

There is no reason to live with the horrible and life disturbing effects of panic and anxiety. Read what others say…..http://www.squidoo.com/Panic—Anxiety-Disorder

Generalized anxiety disorder is one of the common anxiety disorders. There is relief for sufferers. Anxiety disorders are the term covering several different forms of abnormal, pathological anxiety, fear, phobia and nervous condition, which may come on all of a sudden or gradually, over a period of several years and may impair or prevent the pursuing of normal daily routines.

The essential characteristic of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is excessive uncontrollable worry about everyday things. This constant worry affects daily functioning and can cause physical symptoms. GAD is usually difficult to diagnose for it lacks some of the dramatic symptoms, like unprovoked panic attacks, that are seen with other anxiety disorders. To be able to diagnose Generalized Anxiety Disorder, the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Symptoms must be present more days than not for at least 6 months.

The diagnostic criteria for Generalized Anxiety Disorder symptoms are:

Excessive anxiety and worry (apprehension), occurring more days than not for a period of at least 6 months, about numerous events or activities.

The person with GAD finds it hard to control the worry.
The anxiety and worry are associated with three or more of the following six symptoms, with at least some symptoms are present for more than 6 months in most days than not (at least one is required for children):

restlessness or feeling tense or on the edge;
easily fatigued;
difficulty concentrating or mind going blank;
irritability;
muscle tension and muscle aches;
difficulty falling or staying asleep, or restless;
unsatisfying sleep;
difficulty swallowing;
trembling, sweating;
nausea, light-headedness;
feeling out of breath

The focus of anxiety and worry is not limited to, or the anxiety or worry is not about having a panic attack, being embarrassed in the public, being contaminated, gaining weight, having multiple physical complaints, or having a serious illness, and the anxiety, and worry do not occur exclusively during post traumatic disorder.

The anxiety, worry, or physical symptoms cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of everyday activities.

The disturbance is not due to the direct physiological effect of substance, such as alcohol and drug abuse, or medical condition, and does not occur exclusively during a mood disorder, a psychotic disorder, or a pervasive developmental disorder.

When the anxiety level of people with GAD is mild, they can still function socially and keep a job. Even if they don’t avoid certain situations as a result of their disorder, they may have difficulty doing the simplest daily activities if there anxiety is severe. The disorder comes on gradually and can begin at any age, but the risk is highest between childhood and middle age.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder is commonly treated with medication or cognitive-behavioral therapy. Several drugs are used to treat anxiety disorders and these include: benzodiazepines and antidepressants, and Quetiapine.

Stress

Stress can have many triggers and many different effects on people. In our modern world, people are often under daily pressure to achieve increasing numbers of tasks in shorter periods of time.

Stress may contribute to lowered immunity and can be a significant factor in the development of symptoms of both physical and mental illness.

One common physical symptom of stress is muscle tension. This often results in pain such as headaches, backache and a sore neck.

Common psychological symptoms of stress are depression, anxiety, or general difficulty coping with everyday tasks.

Stress can also increase the severity of existing health complaints such as problems with digestion, period pain, and asthma.

Often, the physical symptoms of stress themselves can lead to further feelings of stress, which can result in a vicious cycle. This cycle can put people at risk of serious health problems such as stomach ulcers or severe anxiety and depression.

By treating the physical symptoms of stress, your Massage Therapist can help reduce muscle tension and pain. This allows you to feel physically more comfortable and can help make things seem easier to cope with. Massage Therapy can also make sure that the systems of the body (eg: digestive/ respiratory/ circulatory), are all working efficiently and effectively to help reduce other symptoms that may be caused or aggravated by stress

Massage Therapy can also have a profound effect on the mind. It can help to improve the circulation of “feel good” hormones around the body, affecting the way you think and feel. This can help to promote a sense of calm and wellbeing.

Soothing touch encourages a natural and positive psychological response. A mother comforting a crying child by gently rubbing its head would be an example of this.

Massage Therapy can help to soothe your stress away.

Pain

Pain relief can be brought about by a reduction in muscle tension.

The following types of pain can be treated by your Massage Therapist by reducing muscle tension in muscle groups surrounding/ connected to the area of pain:

Headache
Backache
Period Pain
Muscle Strain
Some types of Arthritis

Some other types of pain may also by reduce by massage therapy:
Cramps can be reduced by reducing the involuntary contraction of muscles.
Abdominal pain caused by digestive problems may be reduced by improving the efficiency of the digestive system.

Sinus pain can be reduced by encouraging the drainage of fluid from the face, thus reducing pressure build up.

In cases of severe pain and discomfort, the area may be too painful to allow your Massage Therapist to touch the affected area. In such cases, you must discuss this with your massage therapist, who may advise you to consult your doctor.

With today’s busy lifestyles and the constant demands on our time and energy from work, family and our social life, it’s easy to feel as if our batteries are constantly being run down and depleted.

It’s only too easy to feel a little drained and out of energy.

The popularity of ‘high energy’ drinks, – so often loaded with caffeine, stimulants and ‘quick fix’ simple sugars like fructose and sucrose – is testament to our desire to boost our energy levels by almost any means.

And often we do this so that we may continue with the very things that are depleting our batteries and causing us to feel so drained in the first place.

All of this, of course, can so easily intensify and increase low energy levels and feelings of fatigue. And this in turn can so easily lead to feelings of stress, anxiety and, if we allow it, even depression.

In approaching energy levels, it’s important to understand that fatigue is our body’s way of telling us to slow things down. It’s nothing more or less than effective bio-feedback: Feedback that we would be wise to listen to.

Rather than going for the ‘quick fix’, drinks and drugs, it just makes sense to take care of some of the basics when it comes to energy levels.

1. First off, we need to make sure that we are eating well. Without proper nutrition, we simply cannot function at our optimum energy levels. You’ve heard it before, probably over and over again, but it’s worth repeating once more: NEVER skip breakfast! It really is the most important meal of the day.

Regardless of whether you have an appetite in the morning or not, make sure that you start each day with some kind of raw fruit and then follow this up with some kind of complex carbohydrate – wholemeal bread, oatmeal, muesli etc – which will provide the slow released energy that you need to tide you over until lunch.

2. Clean out all of the junk food! That’s right, go ahead and get rid of it – it really does you no favours. In fact it has an energy depleting, rather than an energy enhancing affect on the body.

Avoid excessive eating – small amounts of fresh, unprocessed food will provide all you need to nourish and sustain you throughout the day.

3. Reduce alcohol intake, as this is a central nervous system depressant and though it may, at first, seem to provide an energy boost, it really can deplete your real energy.

4. Exercise regularly: You don’t need to join a gym or participate in time consuming organised exercise. A skipping rope can work just as well — provided you use it! Simply by walking up stairs instead of taking the elevator or escalator; parking your car just a little farther from your place of work so you’ll have to walk that bit more, you really can add to your fitness – and your energy levels.

Remember, energy is a bit like money, it can take it to make it.

5. Learn to pace yourself: Trying to get everything done at once is an overwhelming and unrealistic task; it’s an almost sure fire way to bring frustration and depleted energy levels.

Prioritise things and work your way through them, first things first. Ask yourself whether you really do need to get everything done right now, or whether some things might just wait their turn.

6. Develop a positive mental attitude and energise yourself mentally. Talk positively to yourself every time you look in the mirror. Get in the habit of smiling back at your self on a regular basis and notice how infectious this really can become! If you just don’t feel like smiling, well, go ahead and do it anyway. Act ‘as if’ and notice the results!

You are here and you are alive and you are learning what it is that makes you satisfied and happy.

7. Set yourself realistic goals and work steadily towards those goals. The clearer and more enthusiastic you can be about your goals – your dream – the more energy you will manifest.

The world is full of inspirational stories of people who, just like you, have succeeded in realising their heart’s dream. Read about others who are or have been passionate in pursuit of their dream. Passion and energy just go hand in hand together.

8. Allow yourself to feel. When we switch off emotions, we can become stuck. Simply attempting to adopt ‘a stiff upper lip’ approach can only work for so long – and it really does come at an emotional cost, an energy depleting price. Remember that ‘what we resist persists’.

If you are having trouble coping with emotions, consider working with a professional therapist who can help you to process them. Let be and then let go is the healthiest approach and we sometimes need a little help in achieving this.

9. The single most significant change that you can make is to change your attitude. This alone can realign and re-energise every atom of your being.

One of the most effective and quickest ways of doing this is to work with a qualified hypnotherapist who knows how to help you process things at the subconscious level and move on in a balanced manner. All the energy you need is there inside you and it is available to you. It’s simply a question of knowing how to access that energy in an effective way.

Working with a knowledgeable professional really can help you when it comes to having more energy – and enjoying your life more fully.

10. Let go and let God. Do your best and then move on. You’re not God — stop judging yourself and others as if you were. Do this and just watch your energy increase!

Peter James Field

People dealing with depression need to know that recovery is possible and that it is more than a case of the “blues” that they can shake with willpower, as well-meaning friends or relatives may suggest. Depression is a real disease.

Anyone can suffer from depression, though women tend to get it more than men. In children, the rates are similar between the sexes. Those with a family history of depression are more likely to have it. Severity can range from situational depression, which is caused by a stressful life event; to dysthymia, a mild but long-lasting form of depression; to major or clinical depression. There is also seasonal depression that occurs when exposure to natural light is limited, postpartum and premenstrual depression that occurs due to hormonal changes, and other less common forms.

The cause of moderate to severe depression is now widely agreed to be biochemical imbalances in the brain. While very mild or situational periods of depression may resolve on their own, most cases require some kind of intervention. Traditionally, modern psychiatry offered only talk therapy and medications with severe side effects for sufferers. Since the discovery of serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI’s) like fluoxetine (Prozac) in the 1980′s, many people have found relief from the symptoms of depression.

But with society leaning much more toward “greener” lifestyles, holistic methods of health are more popular than ever. There are several tried-and-true herbal remedies for depression. St. John’s wort, for example, has been used extensively in Europe for decades, prescribed by doctors and psychiatrists for their patients suffering from depression. Study after study – over twenty – have proven its effectiveness. Gingko biloba also helps with depression by increasing blood flow to the brain, which increases mood and memory.

Other herbal remedies for depression can be used to alleviate some of the symptoms of depression that can greatly affect one’s quality of life. Valerian root, for example, can help promote the high-quality sleep that is so often elusive when depression hits.

The importance of a healthy diet and the benefits of exercise in maintaining and improving health can never be overemphasized. In addition to promoting overall fitness and endurance, exercise increases production of the body’s “feel good” hormones, which elevate mood. A balanced diet containing omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins and other essential vitamins and minerals can improve mood and alleviate depression.

Untreated depression can be devastating to individuals and their loved ones. But there is help available that can lift the veil of depression and allow the sun to shine in again.

I used to have acne when I was a teenager. It was frustrating and annoying. Going out was often the cause of anxiety, because the acne – horrible red inflamed spots – covered my face. Gradually, when I got older, the acne went away. Imagine my relief.

However, acne is not just an adolescent’s problem. Adults get them too. It is not just a matter of genetics but a slew of problems playing a part in triggering these awful red spots.

Basically, acne is caused by the clogging of skin glands or spores, which in turn become infected. Acne in adolescents is triggered by the onset of puberty making the hormones work over-time and causing the oil glands to increase – gasp – the production of sebum, an oily substance. Sebum lubricates the skin but if it breaks the skin wall, it causes inflammation and pus. That’s right, you get a pimple.

For some, the problem of – argh! – acne follows them right into adulthood. Now, our life-styles are now more hectic and crazy. Stress will sometime trigger flare-ups of the dreaded acne.

What should we do about acne? Conventional skin care products are sometimes useless against an acne onslaught. Perhaps, you might want to start looking in your kitchen.

Yes, your kitchen. I am talking about home remedies for acne. What, My Kitchen!

If you are the type who only uses the kitchen for cooking, be amazed that it is also a source of home remedies for acne (and other things – but that’s another story). Simple herbs and plants found in your pantry or window-sill might just do the trick for your acne problem.

Let’s take a look around the kitchen, shall we?

Crystal-Clear Water

My mother used to tell me to drink a lot of water when I was a teenager (with the acne problem). She told me that water would flush out the poisons and toxins that caused the acne.

Water is a great purifier. Eight glasses is the recommended number for adequate water-intake. Your skin is an organ and water keeps it well hydrated.

You can also make herbal water by infusing the hair of one corn with water. The natural sweetness of the corn will make the water go down well. The hair of corn is a “cooling” agent and it will reduce the inflammation.

Of course, washing your face regularly with clean water is a wise choice.

Use Your Fruits and Vegetables

Our mothers were often right when they told us to eat our fruits and vegetables. Now, we can use them on our skin. It is as simple as opening up your fridge and looking at the types of fruits and vegetables. Our good old fridge is a good place to start looking home remedies for acne.

Cucumbers are a excellent choice. You can juice them, slice them or turn them into masks. Drinking cucumber juice is a good and tasty way to reduce pimples or acne. You can also mix in carrots and lettuces.

For fruits, you can try using fresh apricots. Juice an apricot and apply the juice on your skin. You can also eat the apricots. Yum!

Getting Serious With Cereals

Even your humble breakfast cereals can be a source of home remedies for acne.

Mix buttermilk and bran together to form a good paste. You can use the paste for cleansing. You can also use oats if you do not have bran in your kitchen. Bran and oats are great for masks as well. They also smell heavenly on the skin. Who says home remedies for acne cannot be delicious at the same time?

Convinced?

Convinced that your kitchen can be a great source for home remedies for acne? You can start by doing the basic – moderating your diet and including more fruits and vegetables. A healthy body will also ensure less acne and other skin problems. However, if your skin is unusually sensitive or you are unsure about using home remedies for acne, you should seek professional advice. This article is written as a general introduction to home or natural remedies for acne and should not be taken as absolute truth. Be discerning. Have fun in your kitchen!

Headache is a mass disease. At one time or the other, you must have gone through the ordeal of it. Many a times, it is a passing feature! It doesn’t require any treatment at all. It comes, takes its time, tests and bothers you to the extent it can and departs away! All that you need is to have patience and understanding then!

This much about the normal headaches! The real problem starts when it becomes chronic. The severe pain will drive out all understanding and patience within you and you feel that you must have instant relief, otherwise the head will break!

Scientists and researchers all over the world are worried about such headaches and are trying out various combinations to combat this. They have come out with several products depending upon the nature of headaches and Elavil is one of them!

Elavil, in the first instance was prescribed to treat bulimia (an eating disorder). Subsequently it was used to control chronic pain and to prevent migraine headache.

Does Elavil cure the headache directly? Perhaps it is not its direct function; it is only a responsive action! It is a member of the group of drugs called tricyclic anti-depresasants. Doctors prescribe Elavil to treat a pathological weeping and laughing syndrome associated with multiple sclerosis.

Utmost care is to be taken about taking the doses as prescribed by your physician! Go strictly by the quantum of the dose, and do not skip doses. Even if you feel like not taking the dose, due to depression or any other factors do not skip the dose. If you miss a dose for any reason, do not take two doses the next day, to make up for the shortfall. When you start the therapy, the side effect at the initial stage, may be drowsiness. Do not panic and give up the doses. This condition will disappear after a few days. Rewards are promised for the patients who have patience for 30 days. The thumb rule is that never take 2 doses at a time. It is dangerous.

The side effects of Elavil are thoroughly discouraging. The side effects reported are: constipation, blurred vision, dry mouth, rapid heart beat, and a greater danger of sustaining a nasty fall!

Owners of Elavil, be careful! One wrong decision and your headache may prove to be too costly.

Have you been watching the news lately? I know I have. It seems the world is coming apart at the seams! The economy is in trouble, the war is creating uncertainty, politics are getting more and more nasty and everywhere we turn, there is a crisis threatening the future.

Okay. So life is tough right now. In large terms and probably in smaller terms too. But if YOU fall apart at the seams then the responsibilities you have will fall to the wayside and nothing will be accomplished. So. Take a moment. And Breathe. Slowly.

Anxiety can be one of the most destructive of moods and emotions. It can make a strong man freeze in his shoes and an accomplished woman turn into a puddle of tears. But if you know how to manage your anxiety it will put you back in the driver’s seat and help you in those moments of crisis. Anxiety occurs when we are not certain what is happening around us, or are uncertain of the outcome of any particular situation. We can have anxiety about small things, like whether it will rain on the morning we have a golf game scheduled, or about big things, like whether our son will sign up for the military during this time of war.

The symptoms of anxiety are increased shallow breathing, racing pulse, feeling like your heart is pounding, sweaty palms, shaking/trembling, nausea, chills/hot flashes and even feeling like you might die. Of course, you don’t have to have all of these symptoms to know you are anxious! Sometimes, we can have a generalized anxiety, which is a feeling of discomfort or uneasiness that encompasses pretty much everything. Or we can have a specific anxiety, which is about a particular event. A panic attack can feel like having a heart attack and we might even feel like we are dying, when in fact we are just having a severe anxiety episode. Any experience of anxiety can be uncomfortable and disruptive.

So how do we deal with anxiety? Well, the answer is that it depends on the anxiety. How often are you experiencing anxiety? Is it severe or is it mild? Is it about specific things, or is it an overall feeling?

If the anxiety is about relatively small things, then we learn how to stop, take a moment, breathe or take a break, and then refocus on what is important and needs to be dealt with immediately. Or we learn to disconnect from whatever is provoking the anxiety and distract ourselves with something else, until we are ready to return and take care of business.

If the anxiety is an all-encompassing feeling or as severe as a panic attack, then it’s time to go to your primary care doctor and talk to them about what you are feeling. There are medications to alleviate anxiety that are very effective, but like most medications for emotional/mood issues, they are most effective when used in combination with psychotherapy or counseling. Simply taking a pill is not going to completely get rid of your feelings of anxiety. What the medication will do, however, is help get the symptoms enough under control for you to be able to function and work with a therapist to determine what is provoking your feelings of anxiety. Once you know what is provoking the anxiety, then you can begin to work on better coping skills.

Anxiety is a feeling everyone experiences. Stress is a part of the modern world and with stress comes anxiety. Like all feelings, it is neither good or bad, it’s simply a feeling. By recognizing and acknowledging what makes us anxious, we can better deal with our lives and help those around us.

Erectile dysfunction or ED is the inability of a male to get and/or maintain an erection. There are various causes of weak erection. In this article, we will explore erectile dysfunction causes and treatments.

Causes of Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is primarily caused by a physical disorder, which in turn causes improper blood flow to the penis. When blood flow is restricted, erection problems may occur. Some of the medical conditions that may cause erection problems include:

- Parkinson’s disease
- High Cholesterol
- High cholesterol
- High blood pressure
- Atherosclerosis
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Thyroid problems

There are also psychological issues that may cause erectile dysfunction such as:

- Andropause
- Depression
- Anxiety

There is a possibility of developing erectile dysfunction if a man has one or more of these ailments.

Erectile Dysfunction Herbal Remedies

Some popular herbal treatments for erectile dysfunction are ginkgo, ginseng and saw palmetto. Ginkgo biloba promotes overall better blood flow, which includes the pelvic region. By increasing blood flow to the affected area, an erection should be easier to create and maintain.

Other herbal treatments for erectile dysfunction include horny goat weed, cuscuta seed extract or semen cuscutae, tribulus terrestris or puncture vine, damiana or turnera aphrodisiaca.

I hope I have discussed some of the common natural cures for erectile dysfunction that will help you to solve your erectile dysfunction problem naturally with no harmful effects.

Enjoy the excitement of feeling young by treating erectile dysfunction before it spoils your sex life!

One of the reasons why you might think that you’ve never had an anxiety panic attack is because you might have either attributed to something else, OR you might not have realised what it was!

1. Have you ever had heart palpitations, also called rapid heartbeat, having your heart beating ‘up your ears’? Well that is the most common anxiety attack symptom ever. And the most misunderstood one as well. People tend to take anxiety panic attack symptom for a heart attack. If you’re really having a heart attack, the main sensations is different: strong crushing sensation inside the chest and a continuous sort of pain. I bet you’ve had the first, but not the second one? It’s because anxiety panic attacks do tend to happen more often than heart attacks. Be glad about it!

2. Shortness of breath. Now this is the second main symptom of an anxiety panic attack. Unfortunately, it’s one of the worst one to have as well, simply because we humans need air to survive. That’s the number one survival instinct. And not getting air…you get the idea…

3. Excessive sudden sweating. How embarrassing. Imagine you’re at the office, at work, and suddenly, out of nowhere you start sweating like a sauna addict, with no visible reason for it. You haven’t been jogging, haven’t been in a fitness training club, haven’t run up and down your office stairs. You simply sit at your desk in front of your monitor, or in store behind the desk, and start sweating. And other start noticing. Yikes. Has it ever happened to you? If not, you’re lucky. If yes, you’re shuddering just remembering the episode(s)…

If you’ve experienced any of these symptoms, there’s much more to it. Maybe you have experienced other symptoms as well, and you’re curious what they are, and how to avoid them. In that case make sure you read what other Anxiety Panic Attack Symptoms exist, and see what is the best Anxiety Panic Attack Symptoms Cure exists at the moment that gets you symptoms free!

Do you have nightmares about addressing a crowd and getting humiliated? Does your mouth go dry and your hands shake and turn cold when you walk up the podium and see the audience? Do you freeze as your turn to speak in public finally comes? Then you’re suffering from what 65% of the population are also suffering from: fear of public speaking. Many people have tried to get rid of their fear of speaking in public but to no avail. The situation may seem hopeless to you but the truth is, overcoming your fear is not a fruitless task, especially with the advent of Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT. If you’re desperate to win the battle, EFT for public speaking might just be what you have been waiting for.

EFT has proven itself worthy in treating persons who have reservations or issues about public speaking. Created by Gary Craig during the 1990s, EFT is a method that continues to treat a variety of fears – even phobias – that affect the way a person lives his or her life. In essence, EFT is a kind of therapy that aims to address the mind through the body. If you want to get rid of your fear of public speaking, you could turn to an EFT practitioner, who will direct you to tap on several strategic areas of your body. Simultaneously, the EFT practitioner will help you target and focus on a specific situation that produces fear, in this case public speaking, until you experience low levels of anxiety when you imagine yourself speaking in public. EFT for public speaking has helped many people who have had the same fear you have now. As the procedure continues, the fearful situation will no longer generate any level of anxiety, allowing you to become part of the real world without the fear of public speaking anymore.

Studies of EFT for public speaking have shown the procedures involved to be effective and, in some cases, long- lasting. Anecdotal pieces of evidence gathered by other therapists and coaches who have used EFT in treating other fears suggest and recommend EFT to get rid not only of the fear of speaking in public, but also of the fear of performing in public and handling public attention and scrutiny. There are several websites that provide a list of EFT practitioners in different states. You can use search engines to help you locate an EFT practitioner in your area so you can start dealing with your fear right away.

Of course, EFT practitioners do not claim EFT for public speaking to work for everyone, no matter how effective it has proven out to be for many. There are two other methods you can try out, namely the Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP and The Lefkoe Method or TLM. Created by scientists Paul Grinder and Richard Bandler, NLP uses visual, aural, and kinesthetic procedures to alter reactions or feelings toward public speaking. On the other hand, TLM by Morty Lefkoe postulates that human behavior is governed by what an individual believes to be true, and works on this philosophy to find and stamp out negative beliefs about public speaking.

If there were one disease caused by biological factors that is very hard to deal with, it would be depression. Depression or the condition of feeling sad or despondentcharacterized by an inability to concentrate, insomnia, and feelings of extreme sadness, dejection, melancholy, and hopelessnessis one of the visible symptoms of menopause especially for women.

Caused by the dropping of serotonina hormone in the brain that regulates a person’s moodlevels, depression has been linked to menopause because it has been observed that women who are on the verge of this phase experience intense mood fluctuations and severe episodes of sadness and confusion.

Experts say that depression is normal for menopausal women but it should be addressed properly so it wouldn’t lead to more serious health, emotional, and behavioral problems.

UNDERSTANDING DEPRESSION DURING MENOPAUSE

Studies show that 8 to 15 percent of menopausal women experience depression. Experts say that the end of menstruation or menopause triggers episodes of depression and sadness in most women because of drastic hormonal changes that are left unsettled or not addressed.

Various researches prove that women who have a history of mood disorders, those who have been depressed beforeespecially during 20s, those who have underwent surgical or operational procedures, those who are smoking, dealing with so many children, or those who have work that causes a lot of stress are more likely to develop depression during menopause.

Symptoms of depression during menopause include sleeping disorders, hot flushes, loss of energy or fatigue, irritability, anxiety, excessive feeling of guilt or worthlessness, difficulty in concentrating or confusion, decreased interest or pleasure in activities, drastic change in appetite, and two or more weeks of depressed mood that may lead to extreme restlessness and suicidal tendencies.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Although depression is a natural occurrence during menopausal years, experts say that this should not be neglected because it can lead to more episodes of fluctuating moods and physical implications.

Although it is hard to deal with because it involves emotional and hormonal factors, medical authorities agree that depression is treatable when addressed properly. Here are some suggestions and treatment options that can help you cope up with depression during menopause:

1. Consider depression treatments and medications. Seeking help if you are suffering from depression during menopausal years is the first step in curing the “disease.” Today, there are actually many effective and well-tolerated medications available depending on your need. Being an essential part of treating depression, antidepressant medications such as Selected Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) help to increase the amount of serotonin in the brain.

Aside from antidepressants, therapies such as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and Estrogen Therapy can help in especially in early menopausal stages. Before taking in any of these, make sure that you have consulted your physician first so you can discuss the risks and benefits of such treatments and medications. Psychotherapy is also one effective way to combat menopausal depression.

With the help of trained social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists, you can learn how to cope up with the negative feelings over menopausal years. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT that teaches better ways of thinking and behaving and Interpersonal Therapy or IPT that helps the person communicate more effectively are available for you.

2. Schedule for a physical examination. As women grown older, physical changes emerge that lead to physical health problems. Getting a thorough physical examination is one way to know if you are about to experience any physical ailments caused by depressive symptoms.

3. Try out alternative medicines, herbal therapies or remedies, and dietary supplements. Organic and herbal medications have grown popular the years for its healing properties. Today, the most popular herb used to cure depression is St John’s Wort because it can help reduce effects of estrogen fluctuations.

Although many people attest to its effects, there have been no scientific studies that support the effectivity and safety of this alternative medicine. Before trying any of these herbal or organic products, make sure you inform your physician so further damage can be avoided especially if you are under any monitored medication.

4. Engage in physical activities or regular exercise. Experts agree that exercise helps treat depression by releasing your body’s mood-elevating hormones that leads to a feeling of accomplishment and enhanced self-esteem.

5. Start changing your diet. Dietary changes like eating a well balanced diet and regularly scheduled meals are known to help a lot in managing depression.

Animals, like humans, can suffer from a plethora of common ailments that can make their lives miserable. This is why loving pet parents need to not only protect their pets from the discomforts that can besiege them; they should also find a way to do so without the use of harsh chemicals.
The solution of course is via the use or of organic, holistic an herbal remedies that are gentle and safe for not only animals but their human caretakers.

There are a large variety of natural treatments for conditions that often assail dogs’, cats, or other domesticated animals on a regular basis. The top treatments can be found below, and are a few in a long list of things that can be done to give your pet comfort from distress.

A Homeopathic Solution for Fleas

If your dog or cat is biting at their skin or scratching this can be an indication of flea infestation. Brewer’s yeast is often recommended largely because the smell that your pet gives off acts as a deterrent to the pests. Fresh garlic works for this very same reason and can be used in conjunction with the yeast. Do note that garlic is toxic for cats. Also toxic to cats are onions, shallots and chives.

Use about a teaspoon of brewer’s (or nutritional) yeast daily for cats and small dogs, and a tablespoon for a 50-pound dog. Some animals are yeast intolerant and will react with a skin allergy. Discontinue use if this occurs. Combine the yeast with the garlic in your animal’s food, and consider doubling the dosage during peak flea season (August and September).

Treating Infections Without Chemicals

Garlic oil alongside echinacea and goldenseal in your pet’s food can raise immunity and help eradicate low grade infections. During the therapies, carefully observe your pet and make sure they are responding the treatment you are giving them. Again, note that garlic is toxic to cats.

If the infection persists, and you are not able to find a Holistic Vet in your area, you may have to take your animal to a a local Vet for a shot of antibiotics.

Also be aware that essential oils are NOT good for cats either. Cats lack the ability to metabolize the various compounds in essential oils.
Natural Ways to Treat Diarrhea, Vomiting and Dehydration

People use slippery elm to clam their own stomachs and the powdered version of the bark can help alleviate nausea, vomiting and excessive diarrhea in animals. If your animal experiences dehydration from their stomach troubles, powdered or liquid electrolyte solutions will work. If you opt for Gatorade or an equivalent, cut the solution with water as the sugar is not good for domesticated animals to ingest for long periods of time.

Healthy Skin and Coats

Fish based oils, like cod liver oil, can keep your pet’s skin and hair shiny and thick. Place it in your pet’s food a couple of times a day for best results.

Cod lover oil can also keep the skin from itching, as dryness is usually the reason for this symptom in the absence of fleas. It is also an excellent source of Omega 3 and Vitamin D, both known to support the immune system.

If for any reason your pet has itchy skin while using cod liver oil, try licorice or dandelion root. This will help boost the immune system which aids the skin and coat automatically.

Calming Anxiety Naturally

Pets can get skittish for any number of reasons. Animals who have been rescued from shelters or suffered previous abuse may routinely exhibit anxiousness. Calm their nerves as well as their fears with herbs like Valerian, which is used in humans for the same reason. Chamomile brews or a gentle rub of lavender oil on your pet’s snout or nose will also help keep your animal happy and stress free.

Be sure to adjust the doses to coincide with your pet’s weight. Small cats and dogs will not need as much herbal medicine as a bigger animal would. Also, begin the regimen slowly, a few days on and a few days off, so that you can observe any potential reactions.

Before starting therapy, take your pet to the vet for a full exam before beginning ant type of vigorous health program, holistic or not. Some herbs, while innocuous for some pets, can cause allergies in others.

Once your pet is cleared to receive herbal remedies for their conditions, you should be able to help them feel their best at all times without the use of damaging chemicals. If you are unsure, contact a Holistic Vet, or your local vet.

In addition to the fact that your pet will not have unnatural toxins fed to them in the form of medicine, holistically treating your pet can often times be significantly cheaper than traditional veterinary medicine.

It’s holiday time again. Do you feel panic and fear – oh no, holiday time? If you suffer from aviophobia or fear of flying you really do feel miserable. Every year are you forced to bear the anxiety of packing a bag for the sake of a family holiday or are you left behind while your family jets off to the sun? Perhaps you have to fly for work reasons. Now is the time to get rid of that fear with hypnosis. Hypnosis can really make a difference to how you view and endure your flight.

In most cases (yes, you read correctly most), the fear/anxiety has nothing to do with flying – it’s just that the anxiety of, perhaps, a break-up or food poisoning and then flying superimposed this anxiety onto flying so that the next time one was flying their subconscious mind recalled the upset of the previous flight and thereby a fear of flying was born. Remember the subconscious mind’s raison d’etre is to protect you but it only has the logic of a 6 year old child so is not exactly informed. Here is what happens – you subconscious mind remembers you being upset, nervous and anxious and will associate this with the flight (this is how it is recorded into your subconscious mind files) so the next time you think about flying, your subconscious flicks through its files “flying = sick, nervousness, upset, anxiety, _________ “- you fill in the blank. And so you feel you have a fear of flying and each time you think about it, the anxiety just grows and grows inside you.

Think of all the time you waste in an upset state of mind at the thought of going on holidays and then the same upset at the thought of the return journey and perhaps, each time you enjoy your holiday a little less as more and more time is being eaten up with thoughts of stress and anxiety regarding the flight.

Now it is time to change this. Hypnosis allows you to access the file marked “fear of flying” and re-write it. Sounds simple enough but you have to want to overcome the fear of flying. A hypnotic session will take you step by step through the stages of your discomfort from your trigger to the end of the flight. With hypnosis you mentally rehearse all stages of the flying experience from booking the flight (if that’s your trigger) to landing. You learn that you are actually in control of your anxiety/nervousness and that you make it smaller. You are allowed to have a natural apprehensive but it is relative to the situation. We all have different triggers and no two people will suffer the fear of flying in the same way.

Your emotions are not who you are, they are a component that you control so take control of your flying anxiety (hypnosis makes it easier) and make flying a pleasure for you. As mentioned, you cannot do this for others you have to want to make the change.

Good luck and here’s to overcoming your fear of flying with hypnosis and relaxed flying. Isn’t that worth wanting?

There are millions of people all around the world who are suffering from the problem of anxiety or depression or panic attacks or addictions. The biggest problem that they face is not these diseases or problems but their cure.

There are not many good clinics available that can provide relief from the above mentioned problems. As a result of that, the person in spite of taking treatment is unable to get desired results and ultimately he either stops the treatment or gets into more serious problems. Thus it is really very important to go for best treatment from the best clinic in order to get best results and in no time. So if you are also suffering from the problem of anxiety in London as well as several other problems and want to know about the best hypnotherapy in London, then there are several factors you must consider before opting for any clinic:

Goodwill: The first factor you must look for is the goodwill of the clinic. There are several clinics that have good customers but no goodwill. It is very important to get away from such clinics as you can get into more trouble instead of cure from such clinics.

Qualification of expert: Another important factor to keep in mind is the degree or qualification of the expert. If the expert is less qualified, then chances are that you would not get the right treatment.

Quality of services: It is also very important to look for the quality of the services being offered by the clinic. It is so because the quality of services only determines the type of treatment one can expect from a clinic.

Motive of the clinic: The motive of the clinic also determines the quality of the treatment that is available on the clinic. There are several clinics as well as experts who only work with the motive to earn profit. Hence it is important to get away from such clinics or experts. Etc.

The above mentioned are just four factors that can help you to get rid of your problem of anxiety in London with the help of best hypnotherapy in London. So if you want to know the clinic that is best in terms of all above factors as well as many others then Londonwellbeingclinic is the clinic you must opt for.

It is the strong believes of the patients who were suffering from anxiety in London and who got best treatment from hypnotherapy in London offered by this clinic that has made this clinic the top-most clinic in terms of goodwill.

It is the experience and dedication of David that there is a long lists of patients who got relief from the problem of anxiety in London as well as other problems with the help of hypnotherapy in London offered by him.

Body : Stress is the curse of living in modern times. Everyone suffers from stress. And the stress we suffer takes a heavy toll on our bodies, emotions and minds.

Feeling stressed out, worn out by fatigue or just simply having a miserable day, the best thing to do is relax.

Watching television may be a form of relaxation for some, but is not a recommended method by experts. When we watch TV we are bombarded with commercials, ads, sounds and images. So how do we achieve relaxation? If there are thousands of ways we can get stressed, one of them is not meeting deadlines, there are also many ways we can relax.

In recent studies, experts have determined that heart disease is linked to anger and irritability is linked to mental stress. Too much stress brings about ischemia that can lead to or cause a heart attack. Relaxation takes on added importance in light of this matter. Managing your anger and attitude is significant to heart health, and relaxation can help you manage stress.

One way of relaxation is transcendental meditation. Recent studies have also shown that this method might reduce artery blockage, which is a major cause for heart attack and stroke. People practice transcendental meditation by repeating uttering soothing sounds while meditating, this is to achieve total relaxation. The researchers found that practitioners of transcendental meditation significantly reduced the thickness of their arterial wall compared with those who didn’t practice transcendental meditation.

Another study on another method of relaxation, acupuncture, seems to reduce high blood pressure by initiating several body functions for the brain to release chemical compounds known as endorphins. Endorphin helps to relax muscles, ease panic, decrease pain, and reduce anxiety.

Yoga is also another method for relaxation and may also have similar effects like acupuncture. In another study, participants were subjected to several minutes of mental stress. Then they were subjected to various relaxation techniques, such as listening to nature sounds or classical music. Only those who did Yoga significantly reduced the time it took for their blood pressures to go back to normal. Yoga is a form of progressive relaxation.

Breathing is one of the easiest methods to relax. Breathing influences alamost all aspects of us, it affects our mind, our moods and our body. Simply focus on your breathing, after some time you can feel its effects right away.

There are several breathing techniques that can help you reduce stress.

Another easy way to achieve relaxation is exercise. If you feel irritated a simple half-hour of exercise will often settle things down. Although exercise is a great way to lose weight, it does not show you how to manage stress appropriately. Exercise should also be used in conjunction with other exercise method.

One great way of relaxation is getting a massage. To gain full relaxation, you need to totally surrender to the handling and touch of a professional therapist.

There are several types of massages that also give different levels of relaxation.

Another method of relaxation is Biofeedback. The usual biofeedback-training program includes a 10-hour sessions that is often spaced one week apart.

Hypnosis is one controversial relaxation technique. It is a good alternative for people who think that they have no idea what it feels like to be relaxed. It is also a good alternative for people with stress related health problems.

Drugs are extreme alternatives to relaxation. They are sometimes not safe and are not effective like the other relaxation methods. This method is only used by trained medical professionals on their patients.

These relaxation techniques are just some of the ways you can achieve relaxation. Another reason why we need to relax, aside from lowering blood pressure in people and decreasing the chances of a stroke or a heart attack, is because stress produces hormones that suppress the immune system, relaxation gives the immune system time to recover and in doing so function more efficiently.

Relaxation lowers the activities within the brains’ limbic system; this is the emotional center of our brain.

Furthermore, the brain has a periodic need for a more pronounced activity on the right-hemisphere. Relaxation is one way of achieving this.

Relaxation can really be of good use once a relaxation technique is regularly built into your lifestyle. Choose a technique that you believe you can do regularly.

Pets are affected by today’s high pollution, poor nutrition, and growing causes for excessive stress, and are becoming more vulnerable to chronic disease and bad health.

Since their ancient origins, natural herbal remedies are making new strides every day, with botanicals (plants) either singularly or in compounds, and sometimes animal by-products that improve health, appearance, attitude, and performance of pets.

People are starting to realize the value of using natural herbal products to prevent, improve, or treat dog, cat and other pet diseases and conditions.

Here is a sample cross section of the many varied conditions that can be helped:

Aggression in Pets
Aggressive behavior in dogs can include biting, barking, snarling, snapping and raised fur along the back of the neck and the ridge of the spine. Aggression in cats can include scratching, biting, excessive yowling, and lunging, hissing, spitting and destructive behavior.

Anxiety-Stress in Pets
A trip to the vet, thunderstorms, small children, an abusive situation, change of owner, hair dryers, change of house, the addition of another pet — are a few of the situations that can cause heightened levels of anxiety in your pet.

Cleanse and Disinfect Pet Wounds
Products that are formulated to effectively cleanse, disinfect and begin the healing process, while also providing soothing and analgesic relief for pets with a range of skin conditions like wounds, bites, abrasions, paw injuries, etc.

Diabetes in Pets
Control and balance blood sugar levels and improve insulin production and bio-availability. Assist in the treatment of diabetes-related conditions like circulation problems, eye disease and wound healing.

Increase milk production
A safe and natural combination of herbal ingredients for optimizing colostrum and milk production in nursing pets, as well as providing a natural tonic for the nursing female dog or cat.

Fur balls in cats
Improve digestive functioning, and keep bowels regular and prevent constipation and throwing up associated with fur ball obstruction.

Skin and Coat
Whether a chronic or acute skin condition or just a bit of a help after a bout of illness, this product will quickly help to restore shine and health, as well as healing most chronic and acute skin conditions.

This is just a tiny number of the various conditions that can be helped by the use of natural herbal remedies with very favorable results, and little or no adverse effects on the dog, cat, or other pet.

Check it out and see if you can enhance a pet’s health, appearance, attitude, and performance.

As we mentioned in previous articles depression is a normal response as part of our daily lives such as a loss of job,the death of a love one, and illness. Over 30 million Americans suffer from depression and the amount is increasing in an alarming rate. Depression may be a mental health disorder that can affect the way you eat, sleep, and the way you feel about yourself. In this article, we will discuss the causes and symptoms of depression.

I. Causes
a) Hormone imbalance
About 60% of people suffering from physical depression have abnormal levels of thyroid or adrenal hormones causing impaired thinking and making it difficult to carry out daily activity. If the thyroid hormone is in low levels we have hypothyroidism resulting in weight gain, fatigue and loss of appetite. If the thyroid hormone is in high levels we hyperthyroidism resulting in hand trembling, weakness, anxiety and nervousness
On the other hand, if adrenal hormone is in low levels symptoms may include stress, and weakness. If the adrenal hormone is in high level symptoms include weight gain, and diabetes.

b) Immune disorder
Immune system disorder causes concentration difficulty, lowered mood, memory loss, anxiety and symptoms of depression.

c) Nutritional deficiency
Too much Omega fatty 6 and deficiency of Omega acid 3 causes memory loss, mood swings and depression. On the other hand deficiency of vitamin B12, chromium, selenium or magnesium causes anxiety and depression as well as mood swings.

d) Sleeping disorder
If sleeping disorder is serious enough to interfere with normal physical, mental and emotional functioning such as fatigue, poor concentration, low mood and other symptoms of depression.

c) Effect of medication taken
Many medications cause symptoms of depression as a side effect such as low mood and anxiety as a result of taking heart and hypertension medication.

II. Symptoms
a) Loss of interest and energy in life
b) Change of sleeping and eating habits
c) Can not concentrate
d) Lowered self esteem
e) Deep sadness and hopeless
f) Thought of suicide and death

In other articles I discussed what panic attacks are, e.g. what the physical and psychological symptoms are as well as the advantages or disadvantages of taking panic pills. In this article I will tell you the effect avoidance has on hindering your progress and how you should stop this to help you solve panic attacks.

It is the most natural thing isn’t it, to avoid the places or situations where you experienced these horrible panic attacks. Perhaps they are crowded places, or small areas from which it was hard to escape. Perhaps it was only with certain people, or perhaps it was just a thought that kept popping into your head that was so upsetting that it produced anxiety or panic.

What you probably already know, but I will say again, is that panic attacks are totally harmless. The ideas I gave in earlier articles to help you deal with physical and psychological symptoms can make coping with panic easier. But if you constantly avoid the situations you associate with panic, you will probably never feel comfortable there, and perhaps always be adding more and more places to your panic list.

You start making a connection between places, situations, people or even certain thoughts or images, with the panic itself. This connection, however, is false and unhelpful. It is not the places or people or thoughts which produce panic, it is the meaning you give to them that produces or worsens your panic. Therefore, getting rid of panic attacks will not happen unless you are willing to go back to those very places you felt anxious as much as you can. If you want to know how to solve panic attacks, then you need to overcome this avoidance.

I aim to delve deeper into more subtle forms of avoidance in a later article, but you can certainly try and start with a gradual approach to overcoming avoidance of places or situations. Try this 4-step plan:

1. Write a list of places or situations you avoid because of your fear of panic.

2. Give them a rating from 1 to 10, where 1 means “I feel hardly any anxiety there” and 10 means “I feel total panic there”.

3. Put all the items on your list in order of severity, the lowest at the top and the highest at the bottom of your new list.

4. Make a big effort to go to the first place (with the lowest anxiety score) on your list. You might experience some anxiety, but perhaps not panic. In any case, it is crucial to stay there until the anxiety subsides, perhaps using coping skills. If you leave beforehand, you will not learn that things are actually safe and okay there, and you will need to repeat the exercise. Repeat step 4 until you feel no more anxiety and only then tackle the next place on your list etc.

I look forward to writing about overcoming more subtle forms of avoidance in a future article. But you can also find out immediately how to solve panic attacks fast, by clicking here now: How Do You Get Rid Of Anxiety?

Today, many people are seeking all natural supplements for all kinds of illnesses and ailments due to the side effects that are present with the drugs their doctors prescribe. Along with the side effects, many of the drugs out on the market today have not been tested properly before providing them to the general public in cases such as Vioxx whereas a class action lawsuit is still in progress due to death, heart attacks, and strokes of thousands of individuals.

Now, you can find nutritional supplements, quality supplements, and even lab test online due to the revolutionary website healthremedies.com. They offer the best natural health remedies for such health conditions as adrenal fatigue, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, cancer, Candida, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, fibromyalgia, food allergies, heartburn, high cholesterol, hormone balance, irritable bowel syndrome, osteoporosis, and stress.

The brands of products you will find are the best on the market with proven success for all kinds of illnesses. The product list is wide ranging with subcategories including topics for cholesterol, cold & flu, addition support, antioxidants, autism support, neurological support, pain relief, and so much more.

For any person that desire healthy supplements to aid in protecting their body and health you will be able to find a vast amount of minerals, vitamins, and other supplements to help your body work properly all the time without using medications with possible fatal results.

Along with providing visitors with all the products they need to ensure good health, they also provide various lab tests that can be taken at home. The main reason this is so important is that many physicians today, often prescribe medications for the symptoms instead of searching for the root of the problem. We all know that symptoms are our body’s way of letting us know something is wrong. However, many doctors instead of performing all the necessary tests often just prescribe various medications to relieve us of our symptoms, which are only masking the signs of an illness.

Lab test you can use at home can aid many individuals in learning what may be wrong so they can take the test results along with them when they visit their doctor, thus cutting to the chase and treatment of the problem not masking the symptoms. Some of the lab tests you will include Adrenal Fatigue Testing, Adrenal Stress Index, Amino Acid Test, Autism Testing, Blood Spot Tests, Blood Test, Blood Typing, C Reactive Protein, Candida Test, Cardiovascular Tests, Environmental Pollutants, Food Allergy Test, Gastrointestinal Tests, Genomic Testing, Hair Analysis, Heavy Metals Test, Hormone Tests, Metabolic Test, Multiple Sclerosis Neuroimmunology Panel, Neurotransmitters, Nutritional Tests, Organic Acids Test, Thyroid Testing, and Vitamin Analysis.

Instead of second guessing, you will be more prepared to talk to your physician or your child’s pediatrician when you go in for a check-up. Of course, following up with your doctor is the best action to take however, using supplements and other natural remedies to prevent or aid with the ailments is always a good choice.

Maybe you suffer from anxiety disorder or panic attacks. If you do, there is a natural remedy for anxiety that can dramatically change your life! There is no need for you to lead a life filled with stress and fear any longer. Several online programs can show you how to live a normal, happy life and I will share some of this information with you now.

You know the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks: A racing heart, dizziness, intense sweating, confusion, etc. There are many symptoms, and the fear of having an attack can often cause one. Finding a natural remedy for anxiety can put an end to this forever – without using medication!

You may or may not know that anxiety and panic attacks start in your brain. Although it often seems like a physical condition because of the strong and sometimes debilitating symptoms, it actually starts in your brain. Some situations cause your brain to go into “panic” mode, where you believe you must fight against the situation or run from it.

Choosing a natural remedy for anxiety is a very good choice. You can quickly return to a normal, happy life free from stress and fear of panic attacks. If you have suffered with these disorders long, you are well aware that they can completely debilitate you. This makes it hard to do simple, everyday tasks. You will sometimes also develop insomnia, and the lack of sleep just adds to your unhappiness and depression.

How does living with anxiety and panic attacks affect your life? It really affects people in many different ways. While some may completely avoid any type of social setting, others may fear driving a car or going to the grocery store. Avoiding friends, missing your childs play at school – it all adds up to a miserable life.

Are you ready to learn how a natural remedy for anxiety can give you back a normal, happy life free from fear and stress? Don’t let this type of disorder take you completely into its control – stop it now. Visit the links below to learn how natural remedies for anxiety can help you.

There are many factors affecting the occurrence of anxiety disorder. Some people have a high tendency to have it because some members of their family already have it or their genes have it. For some people the disorder is a result of traumatic experiences and stressful events in their lives. Whatever the reason for the occurrence of this disorder, it is important to find a way to relieve anxiety attacks and live normally.

People with anxiety disorder are experiencing intense fear with no logical reason. The fear is so intense that may result to trembling, dizziness, sweating, chest pain, difficulty breathing and the sense of losing grip of reality. These symptoms when experienced will make them more anxious and the anticipation of anxiety attacks makes them even more worried. If they cannot find a way to break this cycle and relieve anxiety attacks, it could torment their lives for years.

Fear is a good thing when it makes us aware of the existing dangers and keeps us alert to do the right thing to save ourselves. But too much fear over something that does not exist is disabling and may prevent you from enjoying life. If you are living in constant fear and having anxiety disorder, you have to break free from it and learn how to relieve anxiety attacks.

Here are some tips to relieve anxiety attacks:

Relaxation and deep breathing. This is a good self-help to relieve anxiety attacks. Deep breathing using your diaphragm has a calming effect which helps relieve stress and anxiety. You can do it while sitting straight or standing. You can close your eyes if you want to and take your mind off from your worries. Inhale or breathe in through your nose with chest in abdomen out. Let your abdomen expand while you inhale and then exhale slowly. You will feel that your muscles are tensing up and you will be more relaxed.

Surround yourself with calm and positive people. It will help to forget about your anxiousness if you can talk to people who are positive and calm. It is easier to get rid of your negative intrusive thoughts when there are people who can convince you that there is nothing to worry and nothing bad is going to happen.

Take care of your health. Stress and poor health are some of the reasons for anxiety attacks. You should get enough sleep, eat healthy and exercise to relieve anxiety attacks. A well rested and nourished body and mind will make you more balanced and in control.

Seek professional help. If you cannot handle your anxiety disorder on your own do not hesitate to seek help. It is a treatable disorder and you can be cured with the proper treatment that will work for you.

There are different treatments to help relieve anxiety attacks. The most important thing is to find a treatment that will work for you. Did you know that panic attacks can be cured using simple mental strategies?
Depression is a very common affliction that affects many people at one time or another in their lives. While severe depression may require a pharmaceutical approach for successful treatment, many milder cases of depression can be managed through more natural methods. If you are on a specialized diet for a medical condition, check with your doctor before making any changes.

There are a number of foods you can take that will make you feel better and omega 3 is just one of them, that can help combat depression ( see our other articles for more foods to fight the blues ) and also have a positive affect on overall health.

Most people suffering from bouts of depression, anxiety and general mood disorders that greatly affect their quality of life don’t even know that they have non-prescription options to treat their depression effectively.

One treatment that has strong evidence to support that is good as a natural way of treating depression is St John’s Wort extract. There have been over 20 controlled clinical trials of it which shows that it effectively relieves depression. In fact studies show that it works just as well as prescription antidepressants such as Paxil and Prozac and also has fewer side effects than them. So with this in mind, people should consider St John’s Wort as their first choice for treating depression naturally.

Other herbal remedies that are gaining popularity as cures for mild depression are ginkgo biloba, kava kava and black cohosh. Each of these is used for a specific type of depression. Ginkgo biloba is primarily used by people suffering from mild depression and memory loss or other dulled mental functions because it helps improve overall mental health. Kava kava is used mainly for anxiousness associated with depression because it calms a person and helps them fall asleep and have more restful sleep.

The effects of depression can only be mitigated. There is no absolute remedy for depression. Dietary changes or herbal supplements can only mitigate the effects of depression. An effective therapy program suggested by your doctor will help you understand what self-talk is and how it can used to minimize depression naturally.

There are many other natural supplements that can help you fight illnesses and feel better. For example, there is one you can grow yourself in your backyard or even in a pot on your patio and another that has been used successfully by the Chinese for at least 1,000 years

For hundreds of years, yoga has been considered an effective natural cure for depression. This is a very old Eastern world treatment, which incorporates body-stretching exercises with specific breathing exercises. The yoga postures and breathing techniques massage the body organs conditioning them so that they function as intended

As a victim of cancer you should always remind yourself that cancer does not define you. You are not cancer you are who you are. Somebody with a heart and who can love and be loved back. To succeed in dating as a cancer survivor, you have to make a self evaluation. List down your positive qualities that makes you a superb partner. At one time you will have to talk to a new partner about your condition. In preparation for this, write down what you will talk about or rehearse with a friend. To overcome the much dreaded rejection, imagine that you are rejected and practice on how you can handle the situation. Do not associate all negative responses to cancer. If people do not reciprocate your love, do not give up, it happens to anyone either with cancer or not.

To succeed in dating as a cancer survivor, you have to appreciate communication. It plays a vital role in initiating a romantic relationship since it helps in overcoming anxiety. People find it difficult to talk about sexuality even with a lifetime partner. Hard as it might be it leads to healthy sexuality in a relationship. Dialogue alleviate the cancer survivor’s anxiety and brings forth overwhelming emotional intimacy and a great sense of trust. As a cancer survivor you should discuss sexuality before being sexually intimate with a new lover. Sexuality conversations are made easier and more comfortable if they are accompanied by practice. The ease with which you discuss sexuality helps you to be even be more honest about the prevailing physical and emotional changes. Your sexual needs and desires will be openly discussed.

In order to succeed in dating as a cancer survivor, you have to learn about how to develop sexual intimacy. Lets say you have a new partner and you want to talk to him. Decide ahead of time about what you will say to him/her and practice the words or tone with a buddy or in front of the mirror. If you are uneasy about using some sexual terms, practice screaming out the words until you are sure that you are comfortable with them. Sex therapists advice that you should use the real terms instead of slang terms or funny euphemisms. To heighten your sexual pleasure, tell your partner which sex position feels good or what sex act is of preference.

Cancer and its treatments affect sexuality directly mostly through physical changes to the victims body. In order to succeed in dating as a cancer survivor, talk to your partner about erectile disfunction, vaginal dryness or a genital scar. There is less anxiety when your partner is aware of the problems even before your fist sexual encounter together. A caring partner who loves you will help you find a solution and take you the way you are. He will help you rediscover your sexual attractiveness again. You must overcome cancer effects in dating alone or with support. If you still feel that your sexual intimacy is still wanting, seek community support. A psychologist or cancer support organization will be of much help.

Do you often suffer from panic or anxiety attacks which sometimes cause a great deal of burden with the way you deal with your peers? Recently, I came across a natural panic attack guide by Joe Barry titled Panic away.

Joe Barry Panic away claims to be able help you stop panic and anxiety attacks without the use of panic attack drugs or medication.

If you suffer from panic attacks, then you know how crippling the effects can be. It can cause you to lose concentration and unable to focus on your work and some people even developed low self esteem and confidence as a result of their illness.

Although panic attack drugs can help keep the symptoms of anxiety attacks under control, it does not cure the illness completely and unless you want to be dependable on drugs all your life, I sought to look for alternative panic attack cures and remedies.

Panic away is only about 60 pages long but it provides a step by step approach on how to stop panic attacks in its tracks before it happens. Joe Barry calls it the one move technique and it basically teaches you how to control your breathing whenever a panic attack is approaching.

Most panic attack sufferers know the symptoms before they happen such as heart racing fast, dilated pupils and hands trembling uncontrollably. Panic away relies on you knowing when it is about to happen and how to stop it before it escalates into a full scaled panic attack.

Anxiety is one of the most insidious conditions affecting individuals today. Fear accompanies it, whether justified or not. At any time or any circumstance, anxiety can occur. By examining anxiety you can find out just how easily it can balloon into a full blown panic attack.

A variety of physical symptoms can accompany anxiety. In most cases, related symptoms can be related to heart, lungs, and nervous system. Pressure in your chest and around your heart may make you feel like you are having a heart attack. What brings on anxiety? Stress from home; stress from work; stress from school; stress from relationships; financial stress; stress from the loss of a loved one; stress from a medical illness; or drug use.

Symptoms such as these can be labeled as generalized anxiety disorder. The definition of an anxiety attack is an unrealistic worry over a period of time associated with three of the following symptoms: irritability; difficulty concentrating; restlessness; fatigue; sleep disturbances; or muscle tension.

Depending on the duration of each attack and the situation or event that triggered it, you may treat it at home and without seeking medical intervention. If your attacks come infrequently and only last for short periods of time, you can easily calm yourself out of the attack by speaking with a supportive person; use relaxation and meditation techniques; occupy your time by listening to music or watching television; take a walk; or use deep breathing exercises.

Be aware, that the fear may override any ability to engage in any of the before mentioned suggestions once involved in a full blown panic attack. Once the anxiety attack reaches the stage of panic, nothing said or done will decrease the symptoms. You will have to ride it out. This is were your breathing exercises will be greatly used.

Thirty years ago anxiety attacks were considered a nervous condition and patients were given Valium to control them. In this day in age it is considered a treatable disease. Zoloft, Buspar, Xanax, and Prozac are often medications prescribed. You must be told that depending upon your tolerance to certain medications, you may have to sample several kinds of drugs in order to determine the one that will work best for you. It has to prevent the attacks, as well as, keep your mind functionin.

Experiencing a panic attack can be scary. Just be sure to remember these following things; you will not faint; you will not have a heart attack; and you will not die. If you are home alone and have an attack, try to call someone to come be with you until it passes. If driving, and a panic attack comes on, pull over and do your slow breathing. Try to stay calm and relaxed. Do not try to continue what you were doing and ignore the panic attack. That most certainly will not work. Breath through it and you will be just fine.

It may help to just repeat to yourself, “I will get through this.” When the symptoms pass, you will feel relief. Take a moment to regain your composure. Soon you will see that you feel better and you are alright.

In the past, anxiety had been given a bad rap. You wouldn’t think it, but anxiety is a naturally occurring human reaction. As our body reacts to stimuli it products adrenaline that can help us deal with the problem at hand. In a select few cases, a panic attacks anxiety disorder can arise.

A range of emotions can encompass an anxiety disorder like anything from feeling nervous to uncontrollable feelings of fright and terror. Fortunately, anxiety is a fairly common disorder that is treatable. Most people find relief via medication or through therapy.

There are many people out there that inquire as to how they can figure out whether they are afflicted with a panic attacks anxiety disorder. To help decipher this you can look out for the following signs: nausea, uncontrollable thoughts, dizziness, heavy breathing, tightness in the chest or pains increased heartbeat to name a few. Of course you’ll want to seek the advice of a professional before trying to diagnose this yourself.

It would be hard to find someone out there who does not fear a single thing. The problem here is that a select few of us enable these fears to hold us back from having a productive and normal life. These fears are more commonly referred to as phobias. I am sure you have heard at some point in your life someone being disabled by a phobia. For example, Arachnophobia which is actually a title of a Hollywood movie is a fear of spiders. Another one would be the uncontrollable fear of open places or Agoraphobia. Many of the same symptoms that are experienced during panic or anxiety attacks are also felt when succumbing to a phobia.

We can take this a step further and include post-traumatic stress disorder which is commonly diagnosed to our solders after war. This disorder also known as PTSD, happens after an individual experiences, participates or witnesses an event such as war, torture, death or any form of other traumatic circumstances. A few characteristics of this disorder include persistent nightmares and acute panic or anxiety attacks. Also, people with this disorder have issues sleeping and concentrating. Luckily, these types of problems are pretty rare when it comes to panic attacks anxiety disorders.

As we seek to find a cure for our panic attacks anxiety disorders, it is helpful to try and uncover what caused them. To help narrow your search down it would be helpful to know when and where the infraction happened. As our advances in drug therapy and psychology continue to press forward, so does the cure rate for these life changing problems. With these advances, it is no longer a burden to carry around these types of conditions.
