Panic Symptoms – Natural Cure for Anxiety Attack Symptoms

April 8, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

Panic symptoms which lead to a panic attack can occur for a variety of reasons. The main reasons are stress or anxiety in modern day life although some people still suffer from traumatic experiences from their childhood which resurface as memories in adult life when a certain trigger occurs.

Whatever the cause, there are treatments available and not just medication prescribed by a medical practitioner. The best treatments for panic symptoms are natural and holistic and not necessarily prescription drug related. The problem with medication is that firstly it can have adverse side effects and secondly it may do nothing to find and then alleviate the root causes of the problem. Even worse, the patient may become addicted to the prescription drugs and their condition gets much worse rather than improving.

One of the keys to recovery is to be fit and healthy. Simple steps such as taking more exercise have been shown to make a huge difference. It does not have to be strenuous exercise either – just a few minutes walking, cycling, swimming, dancing etc is all that is needed. Anything that is of a physical nature will aid in reducing the effects of panic symptoms.

Another step is to avoid stimulants. These include caffeine, nicotine, strong teas, cola, chocolate, energy drinks etc. Anything which has a stimulating effect on the body should be avoided as during panic symptoms the person has a raised level of adrenalin. Therefore, the body must be kept as calm as possible and stimulants go counter to this. Try to keep your heart rate as low as possible and this will reduce the effect of a panic attack. If at all possible try to keep track of your diet. By doing this you may notice a trend between what you eat and when a panic attack occurs. Stop eating those foods which may trigger an attack and remember to eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.

A further major factor in keeping healthy is to get enough rest. The amount of sleep needed varies greatly from person to person. The average amount required is somewhere between seven and nine hours of sleep a night to rejuvenate your mind and body. A person who is tired is much more prone to panic symptoms than a person who gets regular rest. Finally, it might help to take vitamin supplements such as vitamin B and minerals such as calcium and magnesium. These have been demonstrated to have a calming effect on the body’s nervous system.

If you take all of the above factors into consideration then you may be on the way to alleviating and even curing your panic symptoms.

Anxiety Panic Attack Symptoms

If you are think that you are vulnerable to anxiety panic attacks, the let me tell you that you are not alone. 20 millions Americans run the same risk, they all suffer from anxiety. There are a lot of reasons that actually trigger anxiety, but the best part is that it is curable. Once you know the reason of anxiety it becomes all the easier. There are a lot of anxiety

disorders but the most common is excessive worrying.

Anxiety greatly affects the quality of life that you are leading, if you are vulnerable to anxiety then most of the time you will find that you are weighed down with worries. There are drugs that are available in the market that can help you to cope with anxiety, but relaxation techniques are much better as the reach to the root of the problem.

Anxiety natural treatments -anxiety attacks treatment-anxiety symptoms and treatment

When a panic attack hits, you can have palpitations, dizziness, perspiration, shortness of breath, detachment from reality, trembling, and even a fear of going crazy and dying to just name a few of the symptoms.

The different relaxation methods are deep breathing, muscle relaxation and meditation. Along with this it is important that your body is not deprived of a healthy dose of nutrients and vitamins to keep it fit.

Deep breathing is a great technique as this way you can control your breathing when it becomes too shallow or fast. Just this assurance that you

are in control of your breathing gives a lot of confidence to the patients. Patients live in a constant fear of facing and anxiety attack and once they know that they will be able to control it, they will be much more relaxed.

Another technique is relaxation of muscles. This should be preferably followed daily. All you have to do is to tense your muscles while breathing

in and relax it when you are breathing out. This way you will be able to differentiate between a tense and a relaxed muscle. In case you are having an anxiety attack and your muscles begin to contract then you can relax them and keep a control of the situation.

Mediation is also very useful to fight anxiety attack. When you are having an anxiety attack it is important that you focus on a singe word or an image this will help your body to relax and block out all the unwanted thought.

You can use all three of the anxiety natural treatments techniques individually and also use them in a combined fashion. If you use all the

three techniques together then you will realize that you are in a much better position to control stress and you will be shocked to see the difference it can bring to your daily life. You will truly start living once you are stress free.

So many people get hooked on pills; they think they found the answer to their problems. But getting hooked on something is just as bad as the panic attack.

You have to look at yourself and face your fears, and for a lot of people that is just too hard to do. It is just so much easier to pop a pill. Many

medicines are developed to treat only symptoms, not causes, of an ailment.

For example, aspirin may bring relief from the symptoms of a headache but it won’t do a thing for the allergies, stress, or illness that may be causing them.

Anxiety natural treatments is the best way to take.

-The anticipation of a panic attack starts the wave cycle of anxiety in motion.

-The foundation of a future panic attack is laid hours before you actually experience one.

-The slightest trigger will then launch the full blown panic attack into full motion.

-Panic manifests itself in approximately 20 minute formations.

The first time a person experiences a panic attack it can feel like their world is falling down around them. Nowhere feels safe as the anxiety becomes like a stalker lurking in the background. When this happens people begin to

either avoid situations that make them anxious or they medicate themselves to the point where they are numb to the fear.

I am sure you will agree neither of the above is a satisfactory solution.

Cures for anxiety can come in the form of traditional medicine or natural holistic alternatives. If you\’re dealing with anxiety you understand how desperate someone can be to free themselves of such a nightmare. Many will try multiple cures for anxiety before finding one that works for them.

Here are some natural cures for anxiety that may help you or someone you know that\’s suffering from its seemingly hopeless effects:

1. A Routine Exercise Program

Regular exercise can be a highly effective cure for anxiety. Working out is a fantastic way to burn away stress and get yourself physically healthy at the same time. If you keep to a regular workout schedule you\’ll feel the positive effects of tension and stress release, and you may just get your body in shape as a side effect. Exercise is one of the many cures for anxiety that everyone can benefit from.

2. Relaxation and Meditation

It\’s a logical conclusion that people who suffer from anxiety problems aren\’t partaking in the fine art of relaxation. It\’s easy to become wound up and tense during the day. If you don\’t take some time to concentrate on relaxing your mind and body, that tension can multiply exponentially.

When seeking out cures for anxiety, learning how to relax should be the first stop on your mission. Relaxation techniques are quite simple and many of them can be practiced anywhere and at anytime. Something as simple as stepping away from a tense moment and counting to 10 can make a difference in the level of anxiety you\’re experiencing.

Taking this technique a step further will lead you to some simple meditation methods that can be learned by anyone. Meditation in its simplest form incorporates relaxing breathing exercises and visualization techniques designed to bring about a sense of calmness into your life.

3. Getting a Full Night of Sleep

Most people need at least 6 hours of sleep per night, with 8 hours being optimal; yet many settle for less. If you\’re seeking out cures for anxiety you should make it a priority to examine how much sleep you\’re getting.

When you don\’t get the right amount of sleep your day becomes destined to be filled with stress and anxiety. No one likes the feeling of needing more sleep. Physically, and more so mentally, our whole being suffers.

Making the effort to go to bed at a decent hour will make a world of difference in the amount of anxiety you deal with the following day. You\’ll wake up to a heightened sense of alertness and be able to deal with any problems that our thrown your way with calm, rational action.

Depending on the level of anxiety you\’re dealing with, cures for anxiety can be simple. The 3 anxiety cures listed above are easy to try and will benefit anyone willing to give them a chance.

Most Effective Anxiety Cures

When medication does not work, anxiety sufferers seek further help, such as natural treatments for anxiety. Panic is something normal,  it is part of anyone`s life however it does become disturbing in severe forms of anxiety.

Therefore things change when anyone starts to experience panic attacks, or anxiety everyday. Not every anxiety sufferer has panic attacks, however over 80% do and most sufferers do not respond to medication. While this is a mind disorder, the chances to treat it completely using medication are reduced, or getting close to zero. This is the main reason most sufferers seek further help. Natural cures for anxiety proved to work better than medication.

Anxiety disorders can basically reduce the quality of your social and personal life. And if you suffer from anxiety you know well how it feels. Being a former anxiety sufferer myself, I do know very well how horrible panic attacks are. Here are a few methods to reduce your anxiety levels and panic attacks tenfold:

Relaxation. Learning to relax is the vital key to a healthy body and mind. Anxiety disorders are  the body`s response to high stress and ongoing worries. Yoga techniques will help, however yoga methods do require lots of time to be mastered. Try to avoid things that may remind you of possible traumas you had in the past, and keep your mind distracted at all times. Listening to relaxation music does work as well, it`s highly recommended.

Exercises. People that don`t practice exercises at all, are more likely to suffer from anxiety, panic attacks, chronic stress or depression. The main reason for that is because exercises do not only keep your body in shape but they are true stress relievers, that will keep your mind healthy on the long run. Try to do exercises at least 10 minutes in the morning, right after you wake up and 10 – 15 minutes before going to sleep as well.

Getting enough sleep. The average human needs at least 6 hours of sleep every night, however people affected by anxiety disorders need a bit more.  8 – 10 hours of sleep will help you reduce you anxiety by 50%. Not only you will feel less tensioned over the day but you will be able to prevent future panic attacks if you get enough sleep.

All of these techniques are vital for a healthy body and mind, you will be able to reduce your levels of anxiety, however I can not guarantee that you will be able to cure yourself from anxiety and panic attacks completely.

It`s important to know that panic attacks can be treated using natural anxiety treatments, you can even do it from the comfort of your own home.

Why Fighting Stress And Anxiety Is Important!

Have you experienced moments when your anxiety or stress-level seems to be unbearable? Is constant worrying or \”feeling out of control\” distressing you to the point where your job performance or academic work is suffering? Maybe even your daily routine of activities has become hard to manage, as those periods of negative feelings become more common. Constant worrying and excessive stress can interrupt healthy sleep-patterns, cause depression, and affect your physical health!

Unresolved anxiety can cause* the following physical symptoms: muscle tension and aches, digestive problems, excessive sweating, clammy hands, being easily startled, fatigue, irritability, restlessness, and difficulty concentrating. Over time, the damage from stress becomes more severe. Heart disease (including blocked arteries and heart attacks), impaired memory, weight gain (particularly abdomen fat), diseases related to decreased immune system response (e.g., peptic ulcers), problematic pregnancies and long-term effects on newborns, and even chromosome damage are all linked to enduring stress! If you\’re experiencing three or more of the above symptoms, anxiety and stress are likely creating more chaos in your life, and relationships, than is healthy.

Here\’s where Relaxation Therapy can help! Through a mixture of guided-imagery and meditation techniques, a state of relaxation is induced. While in this relaxed state, individuals will be able to quiet anxiety or stress, ease physical tension, and increase calmness and composure. Individual results will vary, but many clients report long lasting effects. Relaxation Therapy works well in conjunction with massage therapy, psychotherapy, and other holistic stress/anxiety management treatments.

Anxiety Attack Treatment – How to Effectively Treat Severe Anxiety

March 28, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

While these are normal sensations for anxiety, some people suffer far worse than this and are kept from living their lives the way they want to. Every single day of their lives are filled with anxious thoughts of home and it keeps them from dealing with the people around them. If you are one of the thousands of people experiencing severe anxiety attacks, then you may need to look into a good anxiety attack treatment.

Now, exactly what is an anxiety attack? More popularly known as panic attacks, anxiety attacks are discrete periods of severe stress where sufferers feel emotional and physical symptoms. They differ from person to person – some may suddenly experience attacks without warning, while others panic at the thought of something in particular. No matter what the specific symptoms may be, if the individual suffers anxiety at an extreme level, it is necessary that they seek anxiety attack treatment.

Panic attacks have many symptoms. One that most experience is fear or worry in situations where most people feel at ease of comfortable. Symptoms are either emotional or physical. Emotional symptoms may include irritability, restlessness, feelings of apprehension, trouble concentrating, feeling tense and/or jumpy, blankness, and anticipation of worst-case scenarios. The body also reacts in the same way and may produce several physical symptoms like heavy heart pounding, excessive sweating, dizziness, upset stomach, difficulty in breathing, tremors, tension, headaches, insomnia, or fatigue. Anxiety attack treatment helps sufferers deal with these problems and keeps them calmer and happier.

Anxiety attack treatment comes in various forms — from medicated to holistic means, sufferers have tried to deal with the disorder in different ways. Medically, some doctors prescribe medication like diazepam, lorazepam, and clonazepam, to name a few. This type of medicine, known as benzodiazepine drugs, are usually prescribed by doctors as a form of fast-acting anxiety attack treatment, but, while it may help, long-term use of these drugs may lead to physical dependence and tolerance. Some doctors prefer prescribing anti-depressants like paroxetine, sertraline, or fluoxetine to reduce anxiety attacks.

However, while medication is a possible a choice for anxiety attack treatment, there are better, non-chemical ways to deal with the problem. There are other options like paper bag re-breathing, slow diaphragmatic breathing, and counseling. There are also products like Panic Away, which has proven to help sufferers deal with their panic attacks by breaking the cycle of anxiety that they feel. Panic Away makes use of a new technique that breaks this cycle and keeps the individual from regressing to the past once the sufferer has made it through. It has proven to be one of the best courses for anxiety attack treatment, as it does not require medication nor excessive therapy. Additionally, Panic Away teaches individuals how to cope during the onset of a panic attack. Sufferers soon discover how to free themselves from these attacks, making them happier and freer than ever.

Thousands of panic attack sufferers have cured their condition and are now able to lead a satisfying life. I was one of them and if I can do it so can YOU. Take the next step. Depression Treatment – Natural Depression Remedies

March 25, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

Depression and anxiety become a way of living for many of us. It is not the way life is supposed to be. The big advancement in the medical field is undeniable. Mind issues though are more difficult to deal with. Your brain is more complex than the myocardial muscle.

Leave aside the risks associated with the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) drugs like Paxil and Prozac, the problem is that these drugs address the effect and not the cause of the problem. The mechanism of action of these drugs is blocking the re-absorption (reuptake) of Serotonin by certain nerve cells in the brain.

Serotonin is the good mood neurotransmitter. Altering the way the brain processes Serotonin has unforeseeable effects. Sure, severe depression needs medical attention, but for mild and moderate depression a natural remedy should be considered first.

A holistic approach to mental health that has similar results if not better than SSRI drugs in treating mild and moderate depression and anxiety, combines natural supplements and meditation. This is a double whammy that will:

put you in the good mood zone and melt down depression and anxiety in a short period of time

increases the calming hormones melatonin and serotonin.

raise your threshold to stress triggers

reduces blood lactate, a marker of stress and anxiety

decreases the stress hormone, cortisol

keep your mind focused and clear

make you feel energized throughout the day

become optimistic and accept things you can not change

Meditation is no longer an esoteric or time consuming practice. Twenty minutes a day go a long way. Look at it as a “mind workout” for a lot less time than many of us spend in front of the TV (which by the way is mostly stressful). Beside increasing your Serotonin levels, there are other body direct responses to meditation, most noticeable being the increase in the DHEA (natural steroid pro-hormone produced from cholesterol by the adrenal glands) that naturally decreases with age. Similar benefits with the HGH (Human Growth Hormone) that is naturally released during deep sleep or deep … meditation.

Natural supplements are equal important. St. John’s Wort is proved to have similar or better results than SSRI drugs for treating depression without the negative side effects. Hyperforin is the active antidepressant compound in St. John’s Wort. Pharmaceutical-grade products are standardized to a minimum of 5% hyperforin. The effective daily dosage of St. John’s Wort is 900 mg for a mild-moderate depression.

Another effective natural supplement for depression is 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan). This amino acid is extracted from the Griffonia Simplicifolia plant. When taken alone, doses of 150-300 mg per day are effective. In herbal treatments for depression that combine 5-HTP with St. John’s Wort, a daily dose of 25-100 mg 5-HTP is sufficient.

B vitamins are also known to help maintaining the brain neural connections and good mental health.

Double blind placebo trials are expensive hence not feasible for compounds that can not be patented like the ones mentioned above.

The lack of interest of the big pharmaceutical companies, does not make these natural supplements less effective for treating depression and anxiety. These compounds passed the test of time and were filtered by the wisdom of hundreds of generations of people like you and me.
