Ours was a perfect relationship. My wife Stephanie and I were totally in love with each other. There was nothing to spoil our relationship. Our fiends always cited us as the perfect example of a happy couple. We understood each other very well. There was no room for any disturbance between us. As time passed, our appreciation for each other grew deeper. We understood each other without saying anything. Words were not necessary. Our bond was further strengthened when Stephanie gave birth to a beautiful daughter. We named her Nancy. She grew up to be every bit as her mother. Circumstances were so favorable for us that I never dreamt that things could suddenly change overnight. It was beyond my wildest imagination that a few days after I would be searching for ways and means of how to deal with panic attacks.

The Unfortunate Incident

It happened quite suddenly. I was in the midst of a meeting when an urgent telephone call shattered my world. My daughter, Nancy, had met with an accident. She had been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. I immediately rushed to see her. On reaching the hospital, I enquired about how the accident had occurred. It seemed that Nancy had been taking driving lessons from a friend. Although I had strictly told her not to drive since she had not applied for a license, she had taken Stephanie’s car for a ride without telling her anything. Due to some rough driving by her, she had been hit headlong by another car. The driver of that car had also been admitted with injuries. The doctor was not very happy with her condition.

Nancy passed away. Stephanie was inconsolable. She blamed herself for the incident. According to her, she should have been more vigilant and should have kept an eye on Nancy. Actually Nancy had never given any cause for us to be worried about her. So we never bothered to be inquisitive about her whereabouts.

It Doesn’t Stop There…

Days took their toll on Stephanie. She was not herself anymore. It was very hard for me. It was difficult getting over Nancy. And Stephanie was also slipping away. She seemed to walk about the house like a zombie. She hardly reacted to what I said. At first, I thought it was normal for her to feel like this since she had suffered a massive blow. But as time went by, I started feeling terrified.

She would suddenly sit straight in the middle of the night and start shaking. It was as if she was reliving the incident all over again. It took me several minutes to calm her down and put her to sleep.

I thought that going to the countryside would divert her thoughts and make her feel better. But she was dead against going out of the house.

Seeking For Help

My friends suggested it was high time I consulted a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist said that Stephanie was in fact suffering from panic attacks. It was a normal occurrence with people who lose their dear ones suddenly. He reassured me saying that there were many people like Stephanie in this world and that she would get well soon.

I came back home with a lot of hope in my mind. I gave the medicines diligently to Stephanie. The doctor had warned me not to be impatient with the medicines. It would take time for the effects to come through. After about five months of taking the medicines, she started showing some improvements. She smiled at a joke that I cracked. I was happy that finally she would be better.

But she did not get cured completely. She still got up in the nights and cried like a child. I finally accepted that she would be like this forever and that my life could never be the same again.

Then one day, my colleague told me that there is a website which spoke of a permanent cure. I laughed it off saying that it was not possible. But he asked me to find out about the therapy and try it on Stephanie. Although I was not entirely convinced, I promised to see for myself.

The Cure

It was quite some days after that. I was browsing on the internet when I remembered what my colleague had said. Out of curiosity, I went to that website and looked at the product myself. The site spoke of a “One Move Technique” which would completely cure panic attacks. Since the price was quite within my range, I ordered for the product – Panic Away. I convinced my wife to go through it. Although she was hesitant at first, she agreed after I pleaded with her.

The results were almost immediately noticeable. Hardly had a week gone by, than my wife welcomed me with open arms. I was happily surprised. A few days after that, she cooked my favorite dessert; caramel custard. I was glad that finally she was showing some improvement, but at the same time I was cautious about how long it would last.

Thank God…

But, it has been a year now. Life is back on the right tracks. We held a close family get-together on the first anniversary of the death of Nancy. Stephanie appeared to be quite collected then.

Soon after that, she joined work. Although it is difficult to face memories of our happy days with Nancy, we have learned to cope with it. And I can never thank PanicAway enough for giving back our life to us.
