How do you deal with stress from life?
I understand everyone has problems... some bigger than others. So im not trying to whine

Im just a 25 yr old, been on my own since 16, no parents alive... no real family... and im just trying my best... i work 8-5 M-F at a decent job.... but its all the little things in life that drive me crazy. All the people my age with parents to help them... all the people i know who live a care-free lifestyle really gets to me.... All the little problems.... especially financial grind on me everyday... It gets so bottled up i feel sick to my stomach and the littlest things either irritate me or enrage me or just a stupid commercial will make me want to bust out in tears....

Is there any simple tips or methods i can use to try to channel my negativity and my stress and all that loveliness?

I just got told today at work that im way to young to be so old and bitter. I guess thats why im trying to change.

Thanks for all the real tips

well I probably won't give the best answer because of my age but here goes: Currently I'm 17 I don't really like my family too much and I USED to deal with stress in a bad way until I learned how to turn every bad situation into a burst of laughter without being crazy. You know Lewis Black and Louis CK? yeah their comedians that based their comedy off their hard life, just like me.

You can stay angry if you want, but instead of thinking of anger and stress in a bad way, turn it into your energy, I learned not too long ago that life gives everybody shit, so there's no point in getting riled up over a few sad times or small conflicts.

Example: if someone ask you if you want to do them a favor say: "I'm not gonna lie to you" then walk away, it's negative but it kills bad vibes, now crying has to stop, which can be helped be doing new things, for a while don't plan anything for your life, just let strange stuff happen, the experience is so rewarding, and make friends with random people, have a very diverse group of friends, my friends are African, black, fat, white, German, gay, bipolar, and a parent, unique eh?

well I hoped I helped somewhat, bye now
References :
That person who told you that was right...here's my take on it...One day, if you survive without stomach ulcers killing you first, you'll be so fed up with all the self pity and negativity...you will have to choose change or self destruction/ burnout.... (where you are headed to right now). So why not make the change now? You seem to be wanting it..so why not choose it.

The Chinese Civilization is one of the oldest in the world, and even from way back in their early days, words were written to the effect that: " Life is a -itch" Even they knew and accepted this fact of the human condition.
Knowing this, you know that life's problems are part of the package. ...Like normal? You may need to hone your decision making skills, maybe you will rid your life of some of it's pitfalls but problems are mostly unavoidable.
You have no family...so create one ( it's easy enough)...but first, you must work on yourself or else you'll destroy what you create...you've got to be solid so that you can make a solid life for yourself and those that will love you.( this is NOT easy) If you're miserable now, just think how you would feel then. Love is where it's at...start loving yourself.....A major warning: just when you think you're making progress, crap will hit the fan...wipe off the crap and keep going, keep trying...you have to because the alternative really sucks!!! take it from a gorilla who knows..
References :
People who say you are old and bitter are not helpful at all. Have they ever lived your life? You have difficulties that most people do not-no parents. That is expected to be a given for everyone and it is not for you. You need someone to talk to. Try to find a counselor. You can talk to your doctor about it first. Also try to find good family or friends to just be around when you feel bad. You don't have to tell them everything. Laughter helps me. I try to watch funny things on TV. Walking also helps and singing loudly with music in the car!
References :
What I can tell you is to be proud of yourself for your accomplishments big or small. Take it easy.Take time to relax and unwind.Maybe you can find some decent friends to hang out with.I understand how hard it is..especially with no financial help.In fact my brother is my hero because he has been through so much having to do it all on his own with no help from family or friendsThere were times I watched him become so stressed out because of bills and tuition, our mentally disabled mother and his adhd son, and it saddened me.But I can tell you what..he put himself through school to become a dental hygenist and the same day he graduated he was given full custody of his son.Yes, he is a single dad and a great one at that! He is MY hero because he showed perseverance through it all. There were times that I said to myself I would have given up if I was him but he never did.He stuck with it.

I understand you are not trying to whine and I understand that you too have not been dealt a fair hand but please look toward the future and a brighter life. You can't keep concentrating on what others have that you don't.You are responsible for your own destiny. Also remember that one day the world won't seem so lonely....One day you will make your own family and will have so much to look forward to.

I guess as far as any real tips get enough sleep to function, exercise, try reading an interesting book, watch some new movies, write down how you feel, find some supportive friends, get rid of any negativity and think positive. You can do anything. The sky is your limit!Good Luck!
References :
The thing is that people who may look like things are fine with them, they all have problems many of them far worse than yours. People who have family often have struggles even hatreds for that family. Every day people complain to me about their relatives. The list of possible problems coming from family members is practically endless. No one has a care free lifestyle. They may look that way to you because folks don't walk around with signs around their necks listing all of their problems so it looks like they are doing okay. But everyone, I mean EVERYONE struggles. Just thought I'd clue you in.
What I think would help you is if you had one person that you could honestly talk to. It's painful not to be able to share with someone else. That would give you some relief and you would learn first hand that you are not alone, that you are a lot like other people. If you can't find anyone to talk to you might just try and write down all of your rage at the world. Just let loose on paper without censorship or trying to sound better than you are. Just let out all of your poison. It's okay if you spell every work wrong just write it all down. Do that every day and you'll feel better I think. Good luck to you.
References :
Try not to drive during rush hour....anywhere.
Play video games. Rent a movie and eat popcorn.
Go to a friend's house and watch a Ultimate Fighting Champion fight. Plant a small garden....something that you will enjoy eating.

Understand that none of what's going on around you is your fault. If you really feel bad about it, try going out and making a difference for someone. Start being a hero for someone by doing something small. Volunteer to work at an elementary school and talk with some of those kids to gain perspective and offer the valuable advice that you seem to have about going it alone without your parents for support.

I hope this helps. Hang in there bro!
References :
This sounds like 90% of the people I know (apart from the parent thing). Life is cr*p a lot of the time, we just have to look forward to (and remember) the nice times we have/had. You're probably just going through a mental mind dump which happens to me all of the time. You'll look back at this question in the future and be embarassed that you even put it out there.

Oh, also having a girlfriend/partner takes up all of the time that you would usually be feeling sorry for yourself so give that a go as well. Basically occupy your 'thinking' time if you don't want to feel this way. All the best :-)))))))
References :
This sounds like 90% of the people I know (apart from the parent thing). Life is cr*p a lot of the time, we just have to look forward to (and remember) the nice times we have/had. You’re probably just going through a mental mind dump which happens to me all of the time. You’ll look back at this question in the future and be embarassed that you even put it out there.

Rough. I take Zoloft. I am not saying that taking medicine is the answer to all stress, but it has saved me from some dark days. I understand the financial stresses. I think everyone (well, almost) can relate to that on some level. Next time youi feel frustrated, try to take some deep belly breaths and think of a time that you were really happy and make yourself smile. You will better. You might also want to see about going to a therapist. If you have a good job with insurance, you can find one through your insurance company. Sometimes just talking about your stresses and learning how to deal with them in a more positive way can make a world of difference. Hang in there and good luck.
References :
It sounds like your resentful because you have no parents and you have to do it all yourself. I believe therapy would help.
