There are many factors affecting the occurrence of anxiety disorder. Some people have a high tendency to have it because some members of their family already have it or their genes have it. For some people the disorder is a result of traumatic experiences and stressful events in their lives. Whatever the reason for the occurrence of this disorder, it is important to find a way to relieve anxiety attacks and live normally.

People with anxiety disorder are experiencing intense fear with no logical reason. The fear is so intense that may result to trembling, dizziness, sweating, chest pain, difficulty breathing and the sense of losing grip of reality. These symptoms when experienced will make them more anxious and the anticipation of anxiety attacks makes them even more worried. If they cannot find a way to break this cycle and relieve anxiety attacks, it could torment their lives for years.

Fear is a good thing when it makes us aware of the existing dangers and keeps us alert to do the right thing to save ourselves. But too much fear over something that does not exist is disabling and may prevent you from enjoying life. If you are living in constant fear and having anxiety disorder, you have to break free from it and learn how to relieve anxiety attacks.

Here are some tips to relieve anxiety attacks:

Relaxation and deep breathing. This is a good self-help to relieve anxiety attacks. Deep breathing using your diaphragm has a calming effect which helps relieve stress and anxiety. You can do it while sitting straight or standing. You can close your eyes if you want to and take your mind off from your worries. Inhale or breathe in through your nose with chest in abdomen out. Let your abdomen expand while you inhale and then exhale slowly. You will feel that your muscles are tensing up and you will be more relaxed.

Surround yourself with calm and positive people. It will help to forget about your anxiousness if you can talk to people who are positive and calm. It is easier to get rid of your negative intrusive thoughts when there are people who can convince you that there is nothing to worry and nothing bad is going to happen.

Take care of your health. Stress and poor health are some of the reasons for anxiety attacks. You should get enough sleep, eat healthy and exercise to relieve anxiety attacks. A well rested and nourished body and mind will make you more balanced and in control.

Seek professional help. If you cannot handle your anxiety disorder on your own do not hesitate to seek help. It is a treatable disorder and you can be cured with the proper treatment that will work for you.

There are different treatments to help relieve anxiety attacks. The most important thing is to find a treatment that will work for you. Did you know that panic attacks can be cured using simple mental strategies?
Students, generally, carry some sort of pressure to perform. Naturally, they would like to excel, which may or may not be for self satisfaction. It is important to them that they make their parents feel proud about them, understandably so. However, the pressure even increases two fold, test anxiety may take over.

Test anxiety occurs quite normally in people. Anyone who has ever taken a test knows what it takes to fail and go through incredible cramming sessions and incessant writing of notes and also a complete blank-out in the head. However, test anxiety is the easiest to overcome. But test anxiety sometimes projects as an anxiety disorder. Diagnoses may get a little hard if it happens so.

Sweaty palms are the most easily viewable symptoms of test anxiety. This is considered to be the most primitive and normal test anxiety. Fear creeps in with a sense of malaise and students tend to overcome these symptoms by adopting a few measures first up. A few tips are mentioned below:

1. planning study rather than just cramming
2. undergoing practice tests
3. deep and concentrated breathing before an exam
4. self-affirmation before a test
5. Taking extra tutoring prior to a big exam, if the problems happen to be with materials. A good guidance can always be a healthy booster
6. Speaking out your fears with family and friends

But for few students, unfortunately, test anxiety goes over board. The symptoms are more serious if it is a more aggressive anxiety disorder. Fear, insomnia, heart palpitations and fear are the extra symptoms to worry about. This is mostly the case if the symptoms repeat frequently prior to the tests. In most of the cases, the techniques of relaxation for a normal test anxiety may not have a major impact on people who suffer from full fledged anxiety disorder.

If you ever suspect a anxiety disorder, you should be smart enough a person to seek advice medically. The treatments help you in a big way to overcome this disorder and make life more peaceful and less complicated. If the anxiety in you goes beyond a point, it is very important you seek good advice. Anxiety disorders might be terrible if left unchecked.

Test anxiety is something that occurs to anyone. Almost everyone experiences it in life. However, it is better to get checked if the problem seems to persist or looks to be severe. Otherwise, there is absolutely no reason why you should panic. Panic makes things only complicated.

Anxiety is a feeling that all humans experience, and is triggered in response to stressful events. Therefore, it is a perfectly normal feeling that is actually beneficial in helping us cope with problems. For some people, however, anxiety can become so severe that it becomes a problem, and must be dealt with in some way. Anxiety disorder can arise from the result of excessive, consistent stress, or problems in the flow of neurotransmitters within the brain. Whatever the reason, anxiety disorder is not something to be taken lightly, and should be dealt with at the first signs.

Anxiety disorder can be caused from a combination of biological and external factors. Biologically, it may be brought on by increased blood flow to the amygdala, one of the brain’s fear centers. With increased activity in that region, one would feel more generally apprehensive, regardless if there were any serious stimuli. However, since nearly everybody experiences some amount of stress every day, any extra activity in the amygdala would amplify uneasy feelings.

Even though anxiety disorder is thought of as completely mental, there are physical symptoms of having it. One can experience headaches, stomach aches, chest pain, and shortness of breath, all of which also occur when in threatening situations. The most serious event that can happen as a result of anxiety disorder (although in reality anyone is susceptible to it) is a panic attack, in which the person feels like they are going to faint or die. Panic attacks are not fatal, although to anyone who has experienced one, it feels that way.

There are several methods for dealing with anxiety disorder, and thankfully some of the most effective techniques are also the most simple. Many people are often overloaded with responsibilities and work, and their anxiety stems from this. By making more time for yourself and dropping some of the less important responsibilities, anxiety disorder can be successfully managed. Even if it is impossible to give up anything, just being able to find a few minutes each day to relax can be quite therapeutic.

Like with most mental issues, psychologists can be very supportive and curative. Sometimes one just needs another person to talk to in order to feel better, and since psychologists are trained to solve others problems, they will often say exactly what you need to hear. They can help rearrange your life so it is more manageable, and will be there for as long as you need them. There are many psychologists who specialize in anxiety and related disorders, so it is best to find someone with those qualifications so you are given the best treatment.

Anxiety is an interesting malady to tackle, and new drugs are coming out every year to help people cope with it. Depending on the anxiety one has, they might only need to take medications once in awhile, like before doing a stressful activity. For other types, longer term treatment is required. Whatever the case, anxiety medication has come a long way, and is much more effective now than it was decades ago.

Not just one route has to be taken. Different therapies can be combined to create better results. For example, one may talk to a psychologist while taking medication at home. Every individual is unique, and thus a customized regiment must be developed for each patient.

Although there are many types of anxiety, the majority of us at one time or another suffer from general anxiety which makes us feel anxious and worried about what’s on our mind. Although it’s considered normal to feel anxious or worried at times, general anxiety is characterized by excessive or unrealistic anxiety and worry about life or circumstances

Understand that this isn’t a fleeting concerned are a thought process that’s recognized in passing, but is persistent and ongoing. Many of the symptoms can also be related to the panic attacks as they are as much physical in nature is mental. While the symptoms aren’t as pronounced as those of a panic disorder, they can include muscle tension, sweating, stomach and intestinal pain, headaches and muscle tension. These symptoms are due to your body are working to prepare itself to deal with the perceived danger or situation that’s causing the anxiety.

The cause of anxiety disorder or excessive worrying is really unknown. Specific medical conditions and dealing with serious medical issues have been identified by some professional sources is one cause of anxiety. This should be questioned however, given that a reasonable person facing a serious medical condition or even someone dealing with that condition would naturally show concern and worry.

There are many people that believe that worrying about things that you can do nothing about is not only unproductive but can be a trigger for anxiety. This is not really accurate as even though you cannot directly control the cause, it can still impact you. A good example of this is the ongoing stress in many work environments today.

In earlier years, people in the workplace had to deal with office politics and satisfying the customer. Today however, the pace of technology has made many jobs obsolete or placed the unreasonable demands on employees. Add to this, the ongoing loss of middle-class jobs to offshore outsourcing companies, huge increases in taxes and Social Security that all but eliminate savings for many, and you have the perfect storm for many people to be anxiety ridden. Add to this the high cost of living that keeps many only a few paychecks from being homeless and anxiety can same very appropriate.

It’s simplistic to assume that someone coping with stress and anxiety in that sort of situation is worrying excessively. Although very few can directly change many aspects in this example, this may also tend to lock them into an anxiety ridden cycle.

If you believe you’re suffering from ongoing or constant worry caused by your life situation, you may want to consider rethinking your career and life with a view to simplify it. While the goal may originally have been the big house in the suburbs, two cars and a demanding career, the cost to obtain and keep that dream may be the ongoing worry and stress of anxiety disorder.

Anxiety disorders and panic disorders can cause some truly awful feelings and symptoms. The symptoms of a panic attack can be extremely uncomfortable, such as dizziness, heavy sweating, hard breathing, and uncontrollable shaking. A panic attack is an exaggerated version of the human fight-or-flight response to danger. When you have a panic disorder, you may experience all these symptoms even though there is no actual danger to trigger it. An anxiety attack, on the other hand, has symptoms that often mirror those of a heart attack, including chest discomfort, tingling or numbness in the extremities, and an impending sense of doom. It is unfortunately all too easy for a panic attack to trigger an anxiety attack, or vice versa.

What Are Anxiety Disorders?

An anxiety disorder is present any time some form of anxiety interferes with your daily life. For example, you may be too nervous to go to the store one day, but be fine the next. People with anxiety disorders may develop various phobias, like claustrophobia. But in almost all cases, anxiety disorders are linked to specific fears of activities, situations, or events.

What About Panic Disorders?

In addition to the often differing symptoms when compared to anxiety disorders, panic disorders are usually diagnosed when these symptoms suddenly start and stop with no discernible trigger. This is extremely disheartening to the sufferer, since they cannot seem to control the onset of these symptoms, or avoid any noticeable triggers.

Anxiety and Panic Disorders Together

It is not uncommon for panic disorders to lead to the development of anxiety disorders, due to the constant stress and fear of having a panic attack. Often the panic attack will start being a trigger for an anxiety attack, and soon progresses to the point that the worry over having another panic attack is in itself triggering another anxiety attack.

Living With Anxiety and Panic Disorders

It can be extremely difficult to live a normal life if you suffer from either or both of these conditions. Even things like commuting to work become hazardous, as a sudden panic attack can make it difficult or impossible to drive safely. A sudden panic attack in the office can be both embarrassing and interfere with your work.

The biggest thing to keep in mind is that even though the symptoms of anxiety and panic disorders can be frightening, they don’t actually cause physical harm. Think calming thoughts, and avoid dwelling on the symptoms. If you suspect you have an panic or anxiety disorder, you should visit your doctor. There may be medication that, in conjunction with therapy, can greatly ease or eliminate your anxiety disorder or panic disorder. Take up meditation, and try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can. If you are working too hard, take time off regularly to relax and reflect. These are just a few of the things you can do to help reduce the effects of an anxiety or panic disorder.

We lost everything!

We lost our home, our investments, our live savings, our friends, our relationships with our family members including our kids and our enjoyment of life. We almost lost our marriage and my wife almost lost her life all to her depression!

This article was written out of empathy for those who live with someone who suffers with depression or anxiety disorder; for those to whom I refer as “The Silent Victims”

For 6 years I was a silent victim and my life was completely unlivable as my wife, Sharon, suffered with extreme debilitating depression, anxiety disorder, a severe sleep disorder, destructive obsessive compulsive behaviors, rage and several other behavioral disorders.

I didn’t know about any of her conditions until the day after we were married, then it was all to obvious that something was desperately wrong!

I could go on for hundreds of pages about what happened next, but the purpose of this article is to share with you just a couple of the lessons I learned through my 6 years of learning to live with sever depression and other mental and emotional illnesses in the family.

I should also mention that Sharon and I are still together and doing just great! In fact, our purpose now is to help others who suffer as we have.

It took me six years of learning lesson every minute of every day to make it through life with Sharon’s depression. Through that time, I documented what I was going through.

While going through the daily stresses of Sharon’s depression-driven behaviors, and in speaking with so many poeple who have also gone through it all, I have identified 4 unconscious stages of coping with a loved one’s depression.

1. Denial: In this stage, I was either not willing or not able to accept that fact that my wife was mentally ill. My denial made life very difficult for both Sharon and I because I was not in a position to help her by continually pressuring her to “snap out of it”!

In order for us to move forward, it was critical that I accepted the reality that Sharon was ill…that took me to the next unconscious coping mechanism…

2. Secrecy: Once I accepted internally that Sharon was ill, I felt ashamed and uncomfortable with it. Again, this did not help either of us. I made sure that our private affairs were kept as private as I could and I was not able to willing to speak with anyone about it.

Holding all of this inside was like a poison to me and it soon began to affect my own health and my own emotional well being. At this point, Sharon’s depression and related illnesses were starting to cost us dearly. Some of her behaviors involved compulsive spending which financially crippled us. This, along with other behaviors, pushed me into the next unconscious stage of coping…

3. Anger and Resentment: At this stage, I made my plight very public…and I began to consult my lawyer about a divorce. This was the most dangerous stage for us because this is the stage at which I was closets to leaving the marriage. It was also the stage which was hardest on Sharon, because she could clearly see my misery which drove her to blame herself and become suicidal on more than a few occasions.

If you think you are at this point in your own relationship with someone who suffers from depression, you truly do need to do whatever it takes to get to the next stage. The next stage is the one where you can finally start healing and moving forward in a positive direction…

4. Understanding and Forgiveness: This was the point where Sharon and I began to work together to find solutions. At this unconscious stage, I began to become more empathetic to Sharon’s situation and she and I began down our path to healing together.

This is, in my judgment, where things can start to turn around. Until you reach this stage, I am convinced that there is no chance for the family to survive.

To survive depression in the family, I recommend that you start by identifying which stage you are currently at and do whatever you need to do to get to stage 4; Understanding and Forgiveness.

It may take some time; it took me several very unhappy years of living minute by minute to reach stage 4. Once there, you can then start taking the steps towards healing for both you and your depressed loved one.

Depression destroys lives…but it doesn’t have to destroy yours!

Fear and anxiety are part of life. You may feel anxious before you take a test or walk down a dark street. This kind of anxiety is useful – it can make you more alert or careful. It usually ends soon after you are out of the situation that caused it. But for millions of people in the United States, the anxiety does not go away, and gets worse over time. They may have chest pains or nightmares. They may even be afraid to leave home. These people have anxiety disorders.

Panic disorder is an anxiety disorder. It causes panic attacks, which are sudden feelings of terror for no reason. You may also feel physical symptoms, such as:

* Fast heartbeat
* Chest pain
* Breathing difficulty
* Dizziness

Panic attacks can happen anytime, anywhere and without warning. You may live in fear of another attack and may avoid places where you have had an attack. For some people, fear takes over their lives and they cannot leave their homes.

Panic disorder is more common in women than men. It usually starts when people are young adults. Sometimes it starts when a person is under a lot of stress. Most people get better with treatment. Therapy can show you how to recognize and change your thinking patterns before they lead to panic. Medicines can also help.

Anxiety can be quite detrimental to your appearance, your social life and sometimes your overall health. When it lasts for long periods of time, it becomes a serious issue that should be addressed by a medical professional. Like any other health problem, there are many causes that can lead to severe anxiety.

A major cause of anxiety can be genetics. Biology determines a great deal of how we are, from eye color to nose shape, and right down to the main core of our personality. If one or both of your parents tend to worry about things frequently, then chances are you will have the same reactions to situations. It is possible for this type of trait to skip generations, but more than likely whatever does not trickle down from heredity will catch with you from the nervous environment in which you live.

As alluded to before, your environment can heavily impact the amount of anxiety you may feel. But, even more than that, social pressures in your life can influence your personality, and cause you to be distressed about things you never thought you would worry about. Between work, children, pets, running a household and other such responsibilities, life can sometimes feel overwhelming.

When things are thrown at us all at once, many of us tend to go into survival mode. Feeling intense nervousness and experiencing worrisome behavior can actually be quite normal when we feel trapped under pressure.

Everyone experiences anxiety at one time or another ‘butterflies in the stomach’ before giving a speech or sweaty palms during a job interview are common symptoms. Other symptoms include irritability, uneasiness, jumpiness, feelings of apprehension, rapid or irregular heartbeat, stomachache, nausea, faintness, and breathing problems. Anxiety is often manageable and mild, but sometimes it can present serious problems. A high level or prolonged state of anxiety can make the activities of daily life difficult or impossible.

Since we often can trace the direct cause of our anxious behavior, the next step is to find ways to work through it. There is no point to going through life constantly feeling tense and worried. Over time, it will take its toll on you and you will find yourself feeling worn out and restless. Remember to take a step back, breathe, relax, and get plenty of rest. Everything falls into place. There is no need to worry about every little thing, because every little thing is going to be all right.

Suffering from an anxiety disorder is no picnic and if you suffer from any type of anxiety disorder you’ll know this. An Anxiety disorders happens when our brain warns us about a perceived danger that is about to occur. You will also know that the hardest step in curing your anxiety disorder is admitting it to yourself. Once you’ve managed this however, there are a number of options available for you to find a cure for your anxiety disorders. And until you do one of the best stop-gap methods to help you cope with your anxiety attacks is your own form of Anxiety Self Help.

What do I mean by that? Simply, that you can help yourself in the short term to cope with your anxiety attacks whilst deciding on a proper course of treatment to cure your anxiety. It’s not too difficult and can be accomplished without too much fuss or fanfare. Simple everyday things that you can incorporate into your daily life will become part of your anxiety self help routine.

One of the best methods is to keep a list of phone numbers of supportive friends and family on hand so you can call them in case of an imminent attack. Since you’ve come this far in admitting your problem and seeking help for it there’s a good chance that you’ll also have told some friends and family members so the phone list shouldn’t really be too hard. Something to remember when you do call anyone is that it’s best to talk about something other than your incipient panic or anxiety attack. Also don’t forget to ask the person beforehand whether they don’t mind being placed on your emergency phone list. It always helps to give them a heads-up so they don’t stumble onto any sensitive issues.

Another step in your anxiety self help routine is to learn some relaxation techniques. These can help you to de-stress yourself when you feel an attack coming on and can help you cope with your anxiety wonderfully easy when you learn how.

Breathing properly and in a meditative manner is another great must-do in the anxiety self help department and is one of the easiest methods available to you. You can do this anywhere and anytime that you feel a panic attack coming on. Proper breathing techniques can be learned through a variety of methods and can even be self learnt if you can find the correct documentation on it.

There are more great anxiety self help methods available though I’ve only mentioned a few here and you can try one or all of them to find out one that suits you, and that you can utilize when you feel a panic attack or an anxiety attack coming on. Remember though that these anxiety self help methods might not be able to cure your anxiety disorders and are only meant to help you cope with your anxiety attacks. For a cure, proper medical attention should be sought as soon as possible

What is Anxiety? Ever met someone who worries from the time they get up in the morning until the time they go to bed? Ever live with someone who wakes up with a red mark on her toe and is certain she has a disease? Then she gets an advertisement in the mail that day that focuses on how important it is to get regular checkups and she breaks out in hives because she is now certain she is going to die. Then she sees a report on the news that night about a local funeral home and she is now literally shaking because she feels it was meant to be that she saw that and she starts thinking about how her children will live without her. Then the next morning she wakes up … the red mark is gone but now she has a bruise on her left knee… and she starts thinking she has a blood disease?

Ok, we all know someone like that. Maybe it is you. It can be quite funny … especially when it isn’t you… but anxiety is actually is a very serious matter.

It can consume us… it stops us from living in the present… it cheats our spouses and children from getting the emotional support they need and deserve from us. It is what keeps Psychologists and pharmaceutical companies in business.

It is estimated that 13% of people suffer from anxiety. So if you are sitting in a room of 100 people and you are suffering from anxiety, there are about 12 others who are sitting in the room that are feeling just like you.

It is estimated that over 19 million people in the United States have some type of anxiety disorder.

Here are some of the symptoms that can be associated with anxiety: racing heart, sweating, shaking, shortness of breath, chest pain, stomachache, feeling dizzy, feeling of faint, numbness and chills.

If you or a loved one is suffering from anxiety, get help. Don’t wait because you are too scared. It is a serious matter. You are not only hurting yourself but you are hurting loved ones, too. So what are your options? If you have good health insurance, you can go to a local Psychologist. Some are helpful and some aren’t.

There are also many anxiety medications available. Unfortunately, with each medication, there are also a bunch of side effects that go along with it. Some of the side effects include: becoming addicted to the medication; risk of suicide; weight gain; blurred vision; headaches; heart palpitations; nightmares and agitation.

Also keep in mind that a lot of times, the medications aren’t even effective.

Another option is to try some type of anxiety program. Check your local newspaper. Often, there are support groups for those suffering from anxiety. There are also some anxiety programs online. Some are good and some aren’t. Make sure you try a program that has worked successfully for others. Talk to those who have been through the program to make sure it is a good one and that it will really help you.

Learning about anxiety attack symptoms is an important step in the recovery process if you suffer from an anxiety disorder. Anyone who suffers from such a disorder is certainly well versed in the types of symptoms that frequently accompany anxiety attacks; however, in order to learn to cope with and even overcome these symptoms it is imperative that one must first learn why these symptoms occur in connection with anxiety disorders.

The most common symptom of any anxiety disorder is fear itself. This fear often occurs as a result of a perceived threat. In many cases this fear may only result from a threat that is perceived only and not a real threat. This; however, has no effect on the results of the anxiety attack. When the human brains senses fear, whether it is real or perceived only, it responds with certain biological responses. These responses prepare the body to either stay and fight the threat or flee from it. This is commonly known as the fight or flight response.

Some of the most common symptoms that can be associated with an anxiety attack as a result of this perception of threat include the following:

Looking after your feelings and emotions is as important as taking care of your body. Most of us take care of our physical health far better than our feelings.

Stress is a normal reaction to what is happening in your life, and it can be caused by good, as well as bad events. A little bit of stress isn’t always a bad thing; but being over-stressed may cause a range of health problems including headaches, upset stomach, high blood pressure – even strokes and heart disease.

The changes that commonly follow a traumatic event can affect your emotional wellbeing and your ability to cope. If stress is disrupting your life in a bad way, it may be time to learn new coping skills or to get extra help.

Anxiety is a normal feeling that everyone experiences in day-to-day life. I can develop more strongly when faced with something uncertain, difficult, embarrassing or stressful. Anxiety feelings can range from being mild or moderate to severe, and can bring on extreme physical symptoms.

If your feelings of anxiety are causing disruption in your daily life, you may have a more severe form of anxiety called an anxiety disorder. If this is the case, you need to seek professional help.

Depression is a common illness like diabetes or arthritis. Many people suffer from depression at some stage of their life and it can occur at any age.

A lot of people use the word ‘depression’ to describe feelings of sadness and loss. These feelings often pass within a few hours or a few days. During this time, people are able to carry on much as usual. However, if you feel sad much more intensely and for longer and your feelings start to interfere with your work, social life and family life, you may need to seek professional advice.

There are a number of symptoms of depression and it’s very rare for all symptoms to occur in one person all at once. You might feel it come on slowly, from sometimes feeling blue to deeper feelings more often. It is hard to accept that symptoms like sleeping badly or feeling worthless are depression. After all, don’t we all feel that way sometimes? That’s the key – sometimes. It’s not normal to feel that way for a long time.

There are a variety of treatments for stress, anxiety and depression available to assist you in getting through the physical and emotional issues.

To live your life as you want, and be able to give to your family, friends and work – it’s important to look after yourself. Don’t be frightened to ask for help if you need it. We all need someone to talk to at some stage of our life.

Anxiety symptoms range can vary, depending on whether or not your anxiety disorder is specific or generalized. They can be both psychological and physical. Every person is different; each can experience different symptoms and still have the same diagnosis of anxiety disorder.

Anxiety symptoms include interference with sleep and nightmares. These can really hinder your everyday life, as you must battle feelings of exhaustion on top of anxiety. These can also intensify other anxiety symptoms, such as irritability or confusion.

Anxiety symptoms such as self-consciousness and insecurity can lead to avoidance of social activities. Feelings of restlessness often create a strong urge to escape from any social situation. This creates a tense situation for the anxiety symptom sufferer.

Some anxiety symptoms manifest physically as well. Heart palpitations, otherwise known as an irregular heartbeat, and shortness of breath can lead anxiety disorder sufferers to fear they are having a heart attack. Nausea, frequent urination, and diarrhea can be mistaken for the flu or other viruses.

Sweating is another anxiety symptom, which can be embarrassing for the sufferer in public situations. Hot flashes or chills are also common. Tremors can lead to muscle aches and tension, which make the anxiety disorder patient even more uncomfortable.

The cause of anxiety symptoms can be found in changes to the amygdala, which is an organ in the brain. The amygdala is involved in emotions of fear and aggression. This is where anxiety disorder is created and where it continues to haunt its host until treated. The amygdala becomes over stimulated by stress or other emotional factors. The body responds accordingly and creates anxiety symptoms. Once the pattern is started, it is stored for repetition in the amygdale.

Your family doctor will need to rule out a physical cause for anxiety symptoms. As pointed out above, these symptoms can mimic other physical ailments such as thyroid disorders, insulin disorders, asthma, and certain heart conditions. Once those have been examined and rejected as cause, your doctor will likely refer you to a psychotherapist.

A psychotherapist will be able to help you identify the triggers for your anxiety symptoms. You will learn new ways to deal with stress and other emotional factors. A therapist might also ask that your family doctor prescribe you with anti-anxiety medications.

There are also holistic treatment options which have been found to be helpful when dealing with anxiety symptoms. Acupuncture, hypnotherapy, and relaxation techniques can be used in conjunction with any other therapeutic means or on their own.

You can also help yourself by doing the following: exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, eliminating caffeine. Also, make sure that you surround yourself with supportive friends and family. Anxiety symptoms can be beat with the right tools.

Are there causes of anxiety attacks? In today’s world anxiety disorders many times may be the most common mental illness. In the United States 40 million (18.1%) of the adult population is affected. These numbers are on the increase all over the world, demanding immediate attention. Even though studies are usually made only on adults (over 18 years old), this disorder affects all age groups.

We all blame it on stress, too much work load or other over pressuring day to day activities. However, the scientists have found out the cause of anxiety attacks are:

Brian Biochemistry or chemical imbalance

There are two primary neurotransmitters; serotonin and dopamine, that affect a person’s feeling. Any imbalance of these chemicals can provoke a cause of anxiety attacks expressed through feeling depressed or sad.

Genetics

Anxiety disorders are also inherited as they tend to run in the family, thus passing it on from one’s mother/father to the son/daughter or any other close relative. The structure of the brain and its process are inherited in totality and that can be another reason why people with chemical imbalance can pass on the anxiety disorder thus, being the cause of anxiety attacks. Also growing up as a child in an abusive home, where the family expressed anxiety and violence constantly can be the cause of anxiety attacks.

Fight or Flight Mechanism

When we sense danger, the body prepares itself to either fight or run away. This is known as fight or flight mechanism. This mechanism is triggered mostly by a part of the brain called Amygdale. Sometimes the brain misunderstands the message and a situation and translated it as dangerous when it is not in reality. This can be a cause of anxiety attacks.

The symptoms are very real and frightening. Thus, convincing us that something is wrong and we get scared and untrusting. The flight or fight failure, the scientists say, is the main cause of panic attacks.

Along with the various medications, the scientists also have discovered the possibility to reserve these symptoms now, with the modern science and technology. Now, all we need to do is to learn to recognize these symptoms and consult the doctor as soon as possible. As any other disorder or illness, treated in time, it can be almost always treated successfully.

Be aware of your body and recognize when is giving you the wrong symptoms. Make sure you consult your Doctor as you never want to rely on your own diagnosis. Your doctor may see or know something that you never thought of. Build your knowledge base and learn some techniques that will help you to stop your anxiety attacks dead in its tracks. You may want to try a book and audio that I have used.

a strong connection between anxiety and depression. Discovering the connection between anxiety and depression will help you to understand and overcome your disorder more easily.

Connection Between Anxiety and Depression

The terms anxiety and depression disorders are most often confused and related with each other. But in fact both have different meanings and are in fact the two different states of mental disorder. However, it is also true that sometimes anxiety may lead to depression or vice-versa.

According to a precise definition of anxiety, “It is basically a feeling of nervousness or un easiness, which creates a critical disturbance in the mental state, thus leading to the chronic or generalized anxiety.”

Anxiety disorder is a medical problem that can lead to mental illness. Such a disorder usually creates extreme terror & fear in one’s life. Besides this, it can generate a lot of mental strain on the brain. This stress if not treated well in time can tend to become a chronic stress. The common symptoms of anxiety include extreme pressure on the brain, heart palpitations and sweating. The different types of Anxiety disorders are:

Panic disorder OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) PTD (post-traumatic stress disorder) Social phobia Specific phobia Generalized Anxiety Similarly according to an accurate and precise definition of depression, “Depression is basically a medical disorder usually characterized by hopelessness, extreme feeling of sadness and irritability in temperament along with the lack of interest in life”.

Depression is categorized into three different forms:

Major Depression Dysthymia Bi-polar disease

Depending upon the varying temperaments, the mode of depression may vary from person to person. A depressed person may encounter the feelings of helplessness or he may fail to cope with this state. Thus, ultimately depression may end up with the feelings of anxiety.

Alternatively, it is the feeling of anxiety that is faced initially by a person and that tends to the state of depression. Such a situation mainly arises because a person fails to cope with these anxiety disorders. But, in fact both these disorders can lead to a serious disability factor in the brain.

Inter-Relationship Between Anxiety And Depression:

Both Depression and Anxiety are the serious mental ailments. A depressed person generally experiences low-energy state accompanied with the lack of interest in life. This ultimately results in anxiety disorder and the sufferer might face panic attacks.

Generally, both these disorders are cured in a similar way. To cure anxiety ‘antidepressant drugs’ are mostly used while ‘behavioral therapy’, often aids to overcome both these troubles.

Common Techniques To Overcome Anxiety And Depression

There are certain natural therapies which if followed appropriately will definitely help to overcome depression and anxiety disorders.

Intake of a Rich and Nutritious Diet:

It is always recommended to take a balanced diet in order to overcome depression and anxiety disorders. There are certain food ingredients that hike the anxiety level of a person. It includes sugar and some food additives. In addition to it, there are certain food supplements and herbs that help to calm down the nervous system. Some of such supplements include kava, vitamin B valerian teas and chamomile.

Follow Relaxation Techniques:

Anxiety and depression not only harm the mental state but also the physical well being of a person. Generally, it is recommended that a person should follow proper relaxation tips to overcome these troubles. Some of the significant relaxation tips include deep breathing, bio-feedback and the muscle relaxation. Regular exercising also helps in overcoming depression and anxiety.

Copyright (c) 2008 Steven Magill

You would be surprised at how many people visit the emergency room because of a heart attack when the reality is they are only experiencing a panic attack. That will give you an idea of how intense the symptoms of a panic attack can be.

First let’s look at the different physical symptoms that indicate you might be having a panic attack.

Shortness of breath

Trembling or shaking

Sweating

Tightness of the chest

Inability to focus or sit still

Chills or hot flashes

Not only do people experience physical symptoms with panic attacks, but there are psychological symptoms as well. Here is a list of the most common psychological symptoms people experience when having a panic attack or experience while expecting a panic attack to happen:

Fear of losing control

Fear of dying

Agoraphobia or fear of public places

Feelings of unreality

Depression

Potential tendency to turn to substance abuse

For people dealing with recurring panic attacks it can be difficult for family members or loved ones to fully understand what you are going through if they have never experienced a panic attack before.

Sometimes you may feel like you are forced to face the panic attacks alone because your closest friends and family may think you are simply trying to get attention or may quickly lose patience with you because they don’t see it as a big problem.

It’s important to understand that you are not alone in your dealings with panic attacks or anxiety disorder. Many people commonly experience these types of symptoms throughout their lives. Some more than others, but you are not as alone as you may think you are when dealing with these type of problems.

Rest assured panic attacks are not as life threatening as some people think them to be. The cure for panic attacks lies in how you handle the panic attack symptoms. Controlling your thoughts is the key to controlling the power the symptoms have over your mind and body.

If you are unsure whether or not the symptoms are from a panic attack it is a good idea to visit your doctor to get checked out. Even if you are absolutely sure you are experiencing a panic attack it doesn’t hurt to have a doctor investigate the symptoms you are experiencing.

Most importantly remember that panic attacks can be treated without the use of medication, and most people just need someone to help guide them in the right direction.

By: Steven Magill (Anxiety Treatment eBook – FREE)

About the Author:

The three primary methods of treating panic disorders are behavioral therapies, cognitive therapies, and use of medication.

The behavioral therapy focuses on teaching people with panic disorders to encourage themselves to approach a situation known to create a panic attack. The cognitive therapy helps people control their thought patterns as a means of getting rid of anxiety that is the major cause of panic attacks.

In both behavioral and cognitive therapies, medication can be taken to help you along the way, but they are not an absolute necessity. Studies related to the effectiveness of medication are ongoing.

When is Medication Required?

Medications are rarely recommended to treat panic attacks. Research has revealed that medication should never be used as the only way of treating panic disorders. Drugs can be prescribed only in addition to cognitive and behavioral treatments. If possible, medication should not be used at all, unless the case is extreme.

In extreme cases, medication is required to help the patients make any progress. Drugs are prescribed only if:

Panic disorder is complicated with agoraphobia and the patient cannot bring himself or herself to face any situation in real life that will help him or her to overcome panic attacks.

Patients experience prolonged panic attacks or suffer from panic and anxiety regularly.

Panic disorder is accompanied by depression.

Panic attacks create dangerous situations; for example, the occurence of a panic attack while the patient is driving.

Panic attacks can happen anywhere and anytime although they are not actually related to any situation or event. Panic disorders are commonly accompanied by complex anxiety disorders, such as depression or agoraphobia; so you have to take care of not just the panic attack, but the overall problem.

Best Drugs for Panic Attacks

Studies have shown certain drugs to be effective in the treatment of panic attacks.

SSI Anti-depressants

These drugs balance the serotonin produced by the brain, which in turn reduces anxiety. Anti-depressants usually work well in case of panic disorders for a variety of reasons. Chief among those reasons is the fact that anti-depressants are not addictive.

Benzodiazepines

This popular category of drugs are effective tranquilizers. They work fast but they can become addictive.

Tricyclic Anti-depressants

This medication does not lead to addiction and can help patients deal with depression too. However, they can have major side effects such as dizziness or blurred vision.

Every day, studies on the treatment of panic disorders add something new to the existing body of knowledge. Your doctor will prescribe only those medicines that absolutely essential to help you banish panic disorders. You will never be asked to take drugs as the only method of treatment, but only in addition to other forms of therapy.

By: Abhishek Agarwal (Download Natural Treatment for Anxiety Now!)

About the Author:

Panic disorder with panic attacks and acute anxiety have become either more common or more diagnosed in recent years. Panic attacks are generally accompanied with the following symptoms:

- Palpitations, pounding heart or increased heart rate.

- Sweating.

- Trembling or shaking.

- Sensations of shortness of breath.

- Feelings of choking.

- Chest pain or discomfort.

- Nausea or abdominal distress.

- Feeling dizzy, unsteady, light-headed, or faint.

- Fear of losing control or going crazy.

- Fear of dying.

- Numbness or tingling sensations.

- Chills or hot flashes.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps, but will rarely cure the problem. There are successful ways to treat panic attacks. It is not uncommon for patients with long-standing panic and acute anxiety to need only two or three visits. Untreated, the patient begins to worry even more about the implications of an attack (e.g., losing control, “going crazy”) and may start to constrict their daily activities

Although the majority of the mainstream treatment approaches largely depend on treating panic attack and anxiety disorder by using psychotropic drugs, these treatment approaches simply underestimate the root of the crisis. Many researchers now agree with the fact that there is a whole host of unique reasons that may actually trigger out panic attack in an individual. Each of them is unique in terms of demanding unique attention for it. So, quite obviously, there should be different ways to treat panic attack in question.

The medications used for treating panic attack can provide only a temporary relief from the symptoms, however, not a cure for life. In fact, they come with lots of complications that even turn out to be complicated in their own such as drug dependency, withdrawal complication and so on. In addition, these medications offer different side effects like dizziness, insomnia, agitation, etc that sometimes become tough to bear with. While prolonged usage turns out to develop critical condition like drug dependency or withdrawal, termination heightens the risk of relapse.

Considering these complications, many consumers and professionals increasingly shift their attention over finding out alternative ways to treat panic attack. Some of those approaches are truly effective which may include nutritional or supplemental treatment, breathing technique, meditation, yoga, biofeedback, psychotherapeutic intervention, etc. The most significant benefit one can enjoy by following these ways to treat panic attack is of course ‘absolutely no side effect’. These are indeed natural ways to treat panic attack that can effectively offer long term benefits without any sort of adverse side effects that mainstream medications do.

The most effective nutritional approach combines raw unprocessed food holding the major portion of the diet, non-hydrogenated and medium-range saturated fat and protein without any steroids, antibiotics or other additives or preservatives. One of the best ways to treat panic attack and restore health is of course to limit the consumption of caffeine, sugar, tobacco and alcohol.

Meditation aids in effective control of mind. It is a state of absolute awareness, while being reflective over each and every moment of experience including good, bad, painful or terrifying feelings. As suggested by different researchers, meditation is one of the greatest ways to treat panic attack by influencing reduced blood pressure, decreased heart and respiratory rate, enhanced blood circulation and other remarkable signs and symptoms of ultimate relaxation.

No discussion concerning alternative ways to treat panic attack seems complete so far without the topic of breathing technique. Almost all researchers in this field agree that employing slow and controlled breathing technique prior, post or during a panic attack has probably no other alternative. In combination with hyperventilation and systematic desensitization, professionals offer help to people suffering from panic attack and anxiety disorder.

By: Roger Thompson (Anxiety Treatment eBook – FREE)

About the Author:

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder. It is a strong, irrational fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. A phobia is a constant, extreme or irrational fear of an animal, object, place or situation that wouldn’t normally worry the majority of people. A phobia is when you have an overwhelming need to avoid any contact with the specific cause of the anxiety or fear. Each year, 7.8% of American adults suffer from a phobia. phobias were the most common mental illness among women in all age groups and the second most common illness among men older than 25.

In fact, phobias are the most common psychological disorder women and the second most common disorder among men over 25. Phobias are divided into two types. Simple phobias type is about a single object, situation, or activity. Complex Phobias involves several anxieties, including fear of entering shops, crowds, and public places, or of travelling in trains, buses, or planes. Social phobia is another complex phobia. Social phobia is a fear of social e.g. a wedding, or performance situations e.g. public speaking. 1 to 2 % of men and women have a social phobia and it is usually linked to low self-esteem and fear of criticism.

Many things and situations can cause anxiety, nervousness or fright. Anxiety disorders rarely disappear and may grow worse without appropriate treatment. Effective treatments are available that may help you to keep your fear in check. Behavioral therapy focuses on changing specific actions and uses several techniques to decreases or stop unwanted behavior. Exposure therapy involves starting to confront the fear and stopping avoiding it. The best treatment for phobia is a psychological treatment called cognitive behavioural therapy. Medication may be used according to individual need and symptoms.

It is sometimes used in addition to psychological therapy. Antidepressants can be effective for severe social phobia. Antidepressants or tranquillisers (benzodiazepines) may be recommended for agoraphobia. Some doctors may prescribe medicines called benzodiazepines (such as diazepam, also known as Valium) to ease symptoms in the initial stages of a psychological programme. However, these can only be taken for short periods because they can lead to dependence. Other drugs, called beta-blockers, are sometimes used to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and have also been used together with psychological treatment programmes.

By: Juliet Cohen (Anxiety Treatment eBook – FREE)

About the Author:

With an estimated 40 million Americans living with the impacts of anxiety disorders, the need for property treatment is evident. This mental illness can create symptoms that make getting through everyday life difficult at best. Fortunately, there are a host of anxiety medicine options that patients are often given to coincide with other forms of treatment.

When anxiety medication is used in conjunction with therapy, self-help techniques and support, many forms of anxiety are treatable and even curable. Even conditions as serious as posttraumatic stress disorder can be brought under wraps with the use of anxiety medication.

Types Of Anxiety Medication

There are two types of anxiety medication that most doctors consider prescribing to patients. They both can have a very positive impact in lessening and/or controlling the symptoms of anxiety.

- Antidepressants. Medications such as Zoloft and Paxil are given for more long-term treatment of anxiety symptoms. These medications can take some time to work, so patients are advised to use them as directed and follow instructions carefully. When used in conjunction with behavioral and cognitive therapy, this type of anxiety medicine can be very beneficial for patients.

- Anti-anxiety. This type of anxiety medication involves rapid treatment of acute symptoms. This class of anxiety medicine is considered potentially addictive and has depressant effects. Patients are advised not to take this form of medication for a long period of time. Other options for treatment are generally more effective for overall, lasting relief from anxiety symptoms.

What Medicine Does

Anxiety medicine is not necessarily designed to cure or overcome anxiety symptoms. What it does do is bring symptoms in line so patients can work on other forms of therapy. When anxiety disorders are present, patients often benefit from:

Psychological therapy

- Behavioral and cognitive therapy can give people the tools they need to overcome anxiety disorder. When medications bring symptoms in line, patients are free to work on other, most lasting, techniques for conquering their anxiety disorder. In many cases, positive thinking, desensitization and other techniques come into play to assist patients in “living through” the experiences that trigger their anxiety.

- Self-help. Meditative therapy, self-hypnosis, relaxation techniques and more can all help patients further overcome their illnesses. While it is true not all anxiety disorders are curable, most are controllable if the right therapy is applied.

Anxiety medicine is not a cure all, but it is an important part of an overall treatment plan. When controlling symptoms is a must to put a person back on the right track, these medicines do the job.

By: Martin Richfield (Get FREE Anxiety Treatment)

About the Author:

Anxiety attacks are more common than most people realize. When someone starts to experience panic or anxiety attacks, they tend to keep it to themselves and not tell others about it. It is not uncommon to feel a lot of shame related to having anxiety attacks, and many people hide their problem from the world because of this.

Anxiety, panic and stress are the number one health problems in America, so you are definitely not alone in dealing with your anxiety attacks. A panic or anxiety attack can be described as a sudden and intense feeling of fear, accompanied by several types of physical discomfort.

The physical symptoms differ from person to person, but there are a few that are reported by a lot of anxiety sufferers. These symptoms include, but are not necessarily limited to sweating, numbness or tingling in the arms, chills or hot flashes, trembling or shaking, shortness of breath or feeling like you are choking, chest tightness or pain, heart palpitations or fast heart rate, nausea or upset stomach, feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, feelings of detachment or being in a different reality, fear of losing control or going crazy, fear of dying.

The physical symptoms that come with anxiety attacks are not dangerous, but they can be extremely uncomfortable. Some people are able to keep their panic symptoms hidden when it happens, and others have very visible physical symptoms that others can see. Both types of attacks can be equally painful and scary to go through.

Panic disorder is not the same as anxiety attacks. Anxiety disorder is a diagnosis used when someone is experiencing recurrent anxiety attacks over time and in addition spend time between the attacks worrying about the next one. Anxiety attacks can also occur on their own, and many people only experience a few of them without ever developing panic disorder.

Although it feels like a lot longer, most panic and anxiety attacks peak within ten minutes and pass within twenty to thirty minutes. This doesn’t seem like much to someone who has never experienced a panic attacks, but when you are in that situation, it can feel like it’ll never end. It may help however, to look at our watch when you are experiencing anxiety attacks and remind yourself that it will not go on for very long. This can give you some comfort, and it can help ground you to “reality” so you’re not as inward focused.

Panic and anxiety attacks do not only occur in adults. Even though they are often overlooked, the medical community is starting to realize that anxiety and panic is also quite common in children and teens. It can be difficult to recognize anxiety attack in children because they don’t have the same ability to communicate what they are experiencing as adults have.

It is suspected that a lot of the psychological problems people experience as adults really start when they are children. Fortunately, anxiety in children is very treatable when it is taken seriously and given the proper medical attention.

Panic and anxiety attacks can feel very traumatic and they can seriously limit your life if you let them. Fortunately, anxiety treatment has very good results, and the majority of anxiety sufferers are cured of their symptoms.

By: Jon Mercer (Free Download Anxiety Treatment eBook)

About the Author:

Let’s say us you were analyzed and the result came out that you have anxiety attacks, usually a disorder sufferer is given a choice of various treatments. The remedies usually consist of anti-anxiety medication, anti-depressants and therapy. Taking these treatments have their respective advantages and disadvantages, and I have broken them down in pieces so you will know.

Anti-DepressantsÂ

Anti-depressants can also be referred as sedative drug. These days majority of anti-depressants medications are applied with a mixture of anti-anxiety. Anxiety attacks do not usually occur on its own; it is mainly the outcome of an inherent circumstance, and in majority of the circumstances is triggered by depression. Anxiety can also result to a crippling condition if it is left untreated, same goes to depression. This justifies the reason why majority of the doctors, first, handle the causes of the disorder instead of just its symptoms.

Anti-depressants nowadays consist of SSRI drugs. These involve Zoloft, Prozac and Paxil. They also have adverse effects which are sexual adverse effects, dryness of the mouth, sleepiness and reaction in the stomach. After you have taken the drugs, it will take sometime before it reaches your bloodstream. As for most persons, it usually takes about 2 weeks before you begin to look okay.

They also have adverse effects in the long run; this simply means that you should check your blood flow constantly to see that they don’t get impaired to your kidneys or liver. As for most of the persons, ingesting the prescribed dose of these drugs will aid them to subdue the disorder. The downside of them is that it consumes a lot of time before getting inside your body and most persons just abandon them as they sense is not functioning well for them. The rest of others might believe that their depression has been treated and therefore quit taking the tablets. I don’t recommend you to quit taking the drugs unless it is recommended and guided by a licensed medical practitioner.

Anti-anxiety drugs

Majority of the anti-anxiety drugs, nowadays, that are usually given are Klonopin and Xanax. They replace the less effective and more addictive anti-anxiety drugs of the former ones that consist of valium. They are harmless to take on a short-run basis and you should only take them at the time you are experiencing anxiety disorder. They will aid to cool the way you feel down and cause the anxiety to go away.

The disadvantages of taking anti-anxiety drugs is that they develop some forms of tolerance inside your system and it will result to some kind of steady withdrawal at the time you attempt to halt taking the drugs. If you feel the anxiety disorder is awful, just chill till you begin the withdrawal. Medical practitioners have their own method of aiding one to quit taking anxiety medications and it won’t make you act as if you are stressing your mind. You are detached off the drugs with the aid of some drugs. When you begin to ingest anti-anxiety drugs, utilize them meagerly and don’t form the habit of depending on them. When you begin to feel you are consuming more than the way it was prescribed, then there is every reason to talk to a medical practitioner concerning a withdrawal program.

Therapy

Therapy aids to reach the source of the attack Usually a person experiencing anxiety will frequently center their mind on stuffs that are unimportant, that isn’t the proper treatment for an anxiety attack. Therapy is simply a huge method to get to the bottom of the problem. The thing is that everybody doesn’t need the instant treatment nowadays, but one that will last long. Therapy can be helpful more than the other mentioned cure as a way to get rid of your disorder together with your depression.

You are more likely to be given an anti-anxiety drug when you have an anxiety attack. If it occurs once again, try to speak to your doctor concerning your intention to get an anti-depressant to remedy the condition, together with getting into a therapy program which will aid you in time to come, that is in the long-term. Anti-anxiety drug might work best for an immediate cure, but it is not the solution for a long run condition.

By: Kingsley Modozie (Anxiety Treatment eBook – FREE)

About the Author:

Anxiety attacks occur differently for each individual. Some people may experience an anxiety attack once in their lives, while other individuals experience anxiety attacks on an ongoing basis. When anxiety attacks are experienced on a recurring basis, they are often the result of anxiety disorders. An anxiety attack is not life-threatening and to date, no person has died from suffering an attack. They can, however, affect the normal functioning of a person’s life and therefore need to be cured.

Anxiety cures are found in many different forms; one of the most popular forms of curing anxiety is through the use of natural herbs. Many individuals may fear that they suffer from anxiety attacks whereas the symptoms may be related to other health problems. For example, shortness of breath and palpitations may relate to heart problems. Consulting a health physician is important in properly diagnosing anxiety attacks and ruling out other possibilities.

Severe anxiety disorder can cause problems at work, home and in relationships. Many people do not know the cause of their anxiety and therefore consult a counselor to help them determine and recognize the reason for their anxiety attacks. Anxiety cures provided by a counselor involves recognition of the source of the anxiety and various techniques and methods to assist the client to move past and resolve the inner conflict that he or she may be experiencing.

Many counselors assist their clients with various forms of relaxation techniques and encourage their clients to partake in relaxing forms of exercise to reduce unnecessary tension and stress and thereby assisting with the recovery process. Other forms of anxiety cures include prescribed medication such as anti-anxiety drugs. These are usually only used as a last resort when other treatments or methods have been unsuccessful. A more common approach is to try herbal remedies first.

Valerian extract is a natural herb that is utilized to relieve anxiety and its related symptoms. This herb is beneficial in that it enables a person to feel calm and relaxed within a short period after having taken the medication. The advantage of using this herb is that it is not addictive, so even after having taken it for a long period, there are no harmful or unpleasant withdrawal effects.

Anxiety cures that are also proven to naturally relieve the symptoms of anxiety include Passion Flower and L-thianine. Both these forms of natural herbs are found to work as effectively as anti-anxiety drugs without the side-effects. Natural herbs used for anxiety cures relax the individual while still allowing for full concentration, and allow the individual to feel calmer in anxiety-provoking situations and prevent unnecessary stress-related symptoms caused by the anxiety disorder.

There is such a wide variety of natural anxiety cures that selecting the one that is best for you can be a confusing and time-consuming process. The best way to select a natural cure is to take note of the ingredients found in various natural supplements (for example; green tea) and base your selection on proven anti-anxiety ingredients, and the results you experience in using them.

By: Ian Jefferson (Download Natural Treatment for Anxiety Now!)

About the Author:

Anxiety affects all people – young or old, male or female – and often results in difficulty sleeping, muscle tension, sweating, heart palpitations, chest pain, sweating, trembling, restlessness, nausea, and irritability which can make daily functions a constant battle for those who struggle with an anxiety disorder.

While there are a variety of causes of anxiety, including stress at school or work, financial problems, relationship issues, side effects of medications, use of illicit drugs, and emotional trauma, there is no one particular cure to end anxiety completely for those who suffer.

Psychiatrists and mental health professionals often recommend medications, such as a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines (such as Xanax and Valium) which leave the patient feeling calm and relaxed, or antidepressants (such as Paxil and Effexor). Despite the success of many of these medications, they are also linked to a variety of side effects, including drowsiness, memory loss, nausea, depression, confusion, disorientation, loss of energy, slowed reflexes, impaired thinking or judgment, and addiction. In order to avoid the side effects of anti-anxiety medications, many people who struggle with anxiety disorders are hesitant to use them and prefer a natural anxiety treatment.

One such natural method to reduce anxiety is massage therapy, which is widely used to diminish tension in the muscles, relieve stress, and improve sleep patterns. Another natural anxiety remedy is the use of aromatherapy. Plant essential oils such as cypress, geranium, jasmine, lavender, and sandalwood can be added to baths, massage oil, or infusers to alleviate nervous tension. The dietary supplement of chamomile has also become widely used for the treatment of anxiety and stress. In North America, chamomile tea has become popular for treating a variety of issues, including sleep problems, digestive upset, and anxiety. The supplement is available in capsules, liquid extracts, tinctures, and creams. Mind and body techniques, such as relaxation practices, meditation, yoga, self-hypnosis, breathing exercises, and biofeedback are all also widely used as methods for coping with anxiety in a natural way.

By: Simon Stenning (Free Download Anxiety Treatment eBook)

About the Author:

Â

Anxiety is a reaction to any stress. It helps one deal with a tense situation in the office, or having harder study for an exam. Generally, it helps one cope but when anxiety becomes an excessive, irrational dread of everyday situations, it has become a disabling disorder.

Anxiety Disorders affect about 40 million American and mainly adults age 18 years and older in a given year. It also causes them to be filled with fearfulness and uncertainty. Unlike the relatively mild, brief anxiety caused by a stressful event and this can be anything such as speaking in public or a first date, anxiety disorders last at least 6 months. This may be reached to worse condition if they are not treated.

Causes: Many studies suggest there is a relation between anxiety disorder and difficulty in maintaining balance. There is a possible mechanism, which is malfunction in the parabrachial nucleus, which is a structure in the brain among other functions; it also coordinates signals from the amygdale with input concerning balance. The amygdale is involved in the emotion of fear. Some times in some cases, biochemical factors come into play major role in causing disorder.

Symptoms: Anxiety disorders commonly occur along with other mental or physical illnesses, including alcohol or substance abuse, which may mask anxiety symptoms or make them worse. In some cases, these other illnesses need to be treated before a person will respond to treatment for the anxiety disorder. Effective therapies for anxiety disorders are available, and research is uncovering new treatments that can help most people with anxiety disorders lead productive, fulfilling lives.

Treatment: Anxiety is the most common and most treatable mental disorders. Effective treatments include cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, and biofeedback to control muscle tension are used to treat this problem. Medication, most commonly anti-anxiety drugs, such as benzodiazepine and its derivatives, also may be required in some cases. Some commonly prescribed anti-anxiety medications are diazepam, alprazolam, and lorazepam. The non-benzodiazepine anti-anxiety medication buspirone can be helpful for some individuals.

By: Dr John Anne (Get FREE Anxiety Treatment)

About the Author:
