How to Cure Anxiety Attack – What it Means to be “cured” of Anxiety

“Cure” is not the right word to use for anxiety attack. As anxiety is a natural feeling which anyone can experience, it would be misleading to say that you can eliminate it forever. But make no mistake, a cure is possible.

And by cure I mean achieving a state which you no long have irrational fear, and is able to live the life you used to prior to being stuck with anxiety attack. This is what it means to be “cured” of anxiety attack.

However, take note that you cannot get rid of anxiety attack instantly. Just as Rome wasn’t built in a day, you cannot expect to be permanently rid of anxiety attack this very instant. The healing process is long and would take a substantial amount of time and it would be unwise to hold on to any thoughts of a “miracle cure”.

So how do you go about “curing” anxiety attack?

I am sure you know by now that you cannot experience a full blown anxiety attack constantly. Its not possible. Given enough time, the symptoms will fade away. In fact, you don’t experience the symptoms most of the time but you know that eventually, it will rear its ugly head and you would be helpless against it. So how do you stop it for good?

First of all, you have to learn to not fear anxiety attack. Accept it. Accept the fact that you have anxiety attack. Don’t run or hide from it. Don’t fear anxiety attack returning. This is the MOST important step.

No one can make you believe this fact. I can ask you not to fear anxiety and not to run from it but it won’t be of any use UNLESS you really believe in it. Only YOU can convince yourself of this fact. Things that you learn yourself through experience are far more embedded in you than the things your given freely.

Consider this fact. Despite all the horrible symptoms you went through during anxiety attack, did any of them come true? Did you actually have a heart attack (heart pounding madly)? Did you actually suffocate (difficulty in breathing)? Did you actually faint or die from it?

NO!

As you can see, the truth has been with you all along. Anxiety attack CANNOT harm you. You will ALWAYS be fine and you will NEVER suffer any physical complications from it. You fears are all unfounded – this is the FACT. Convince yourself on this! You don’t need to fear having anxiety attack. You don’t have to run or hide from it.

How to Cure Panic Attacks – There’s No Such Thing as Cure?

So…can you cure panic attacks?

The simple answer is YES!

A lot of people have this misconception that they are stuck with panic attacks forever. This beliefs comes from their doctors and psychologists who tells them that there are no such thing as panic attacks cure.

These medical professional tells you to learn to live with panic attacks. They teach you “coping technique”, “breathing exercises” and ask you to change your life style to suit your anxiety. They give you medication to subdue your panic attacks. No one question their methods because they are medical professional – its all “medically proven”.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not condemning these medical professionals. Some of them do an excellent job in helping people, but the fact remains that there’s still a lot people out there who do not respond well to their treatment methods and are still suffering from panic attacks.

People need an alternative! They don’t need to be stuck taking medicine forever or even have this beliefs that they are “incurable”.

Panic attacks is NOT incurable. Its not even a mental illness. Somehow along the way, your “panic alarm” gets messed up. It goes off for no reason even though your not in any danger – this is panic attack!

So… can you cure panic attacks? YES! You just have to learn how to fixed this “panic alarm”, its that simple! Does this sound incurable? Obviously NOT!

The KEY thing to take note is fear. What’s make panic attack difficult to stop? Fear. The fear of having a heart attack during panic attack. The fear of fainting during a panic attack. The fear that you might actually die from a panic attack. The cure to panic attacks is to stop this irrational fear.

Your heart is pounding madly and your chest hurts, you think its a heart attack…but ITS NOT! This sort of heart activity is usually reserved for vigorous activity (for example:exercising), when you don’t notice it as much. Its suppose to feel this way when your in “panic mode”.

You feel dizzy and weak, you think your going to faint soon…but YOUR NOT! This sensation is caused by hyperventilation – when your breathing too fast and taking in too much oxygen. Having too much oxygen in your blood will disrupt its normal flow, your brain automatically restrict blood flow to balance out the low carbon dioxide levels – resulting in light-headedness.

As you can see, every symptom your experiencing is caused by the body. Your not stuck with some “mysterious illness”. Furthermore, your body CANNOT kill itself and that’s why you having nothing to fear. Panic attack CANNOT kill you.

How to Cure Anxiety Attacks – Getting Over Your Anxiety

Anxiety attacks CAN be successfully treated and cured. However, this “cure” is not the typical pills or medicine that you can take. No medication or prescription drugs will truly “cure” anxiety attacks, they will do nothing but mask the symptoms and numb your pain. I am fairly sure such an option is not desirable.

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress and other life factors, it needs to be there. However, there is a point at which it becomes too much, leading to what is known as “anxiety attacks”. Hence, the appropriate “cure” is to get rid of this excess anxiety.

In order to be “cured” of anxiety attacks, you must first recognize the root of the problem – fear. Have you ever wonder what it is like before you had anxiety attacks? What were your feelings then? Did you constantly fear that you will have heart attack? Or did you think that you will suffocate, faint or die?

This is the KEY to “curing” anxiety attacks. There’s nothing wrong with you physically now. Nothing has changed, your perfectly healthy as before. What has changed is your mentality. Somehow, along the way, your sub-conscious mind picked up these irrational fear. This is the problem!

Its not OK to keep believing that you will die from anxiety attacks. Its not OK have irrational fear of something which cannot harm you. Its up to you alone to stop these fears.

I can sit down here and ask you not to have these fears, but it won’t do any good if you don’t BELIEVE them. You need to prove to yourself that “Yes! Anxiety attacks cannot hurt me. They are just harmless fear, nothing to worry about!”

This is what it means to be “cured” of anxiety attacks. You don’t fear anxiety attacks anymore. If it hits you, so be it, if it doesn’t hits you, so be it, there’s nothing to worry about. Your no longer scared of returning to it, your not troubled if it happens.

So…forget those “miracle cures”. Make change to your thinking and be open to a positive outcome. REALLY believe that you might just get over your anxiety. You don’t have to depend on medication or expensive therapies. You can succeed as long as you believe!
