With today’s busy lifestyles and the constant demands on our time and energy from work, family and our social life, it’s easy to feel as if our batteries are constantly being run down and depleted.

It’s only too easy to feel a little drained and out of energy.

The popularity of ‘high energy’ drinks, – so often loaded with caffeine, stimulants and ‘quick fix’ simple sugars like fructose and sucrose – is testament to our desire to boost our energy levels by almost any means.

And often we do this so that we may continue with the very things that are depleting our batteries and causing us to feel so drained in the first place.

All of this, of course, can so easily intensify and increase low energy levels and feelings of fatigue. And this in turn can so easily lead to feelings of stress, anxiety and, if we allow it, even depression.

In approaching energy levels, it’s important to understand that fatigue is our body’s way of telling us to slow things down. It’s nothing more or less than effective bio-feedback: Feedback that we would be wise to listen to.

Rather than going for the ‘quick fix’, drinks and drugs, it just makes sense to take care of some of the basics when it comes to energy levels.

1. First off, we need to make sure that we are eating well. Without proper nutrition, we simply cannot function at our optimum energy levels. You’ve heard it before, probably over and over again, but it’s worth repeating once more: NEVER skip breakfast! It really is the most important meal of the day.

Regardless of whether you have an appetite in the morning or not, make sure that you start each day with some kind of raw fruit and then follow this up with some kind of complex carbohydrate – wholemeal bread, oatmeal, muesli etc – which will provide the slow released energy that you need to tide you over until lunch.

2. Clean out all of the junk food! That’s right, go ahead and get rid of it – it really does you no favours. In fact it has an energy depleting, rather than an energy enhancing affect on the body.

Avoid excessive eating – small amounts of fresh, unprocessed food will provide all you need to nourish and sustain you throughout the day.

3. Reduce alcohol intake, as this is a central nervous system depressant and though it may, at first, seem to provide an energy boost, it really can deplete your real energy.

4. Exercise regularly: You don’t need to join a gym or participate in time consuming organised exercise. A skipping rope can work just as well — provided you use it! Simply by walking up stairs instead of taking the elevator or escalator; parking your car just a little farther from your place of work so you’ll have to walk that bit more, you really can add to your fitness – and your energy levels.

Remember, energy is a bit like money, it can take it to make it.

5. Learn to pace yourself: Trying to get everything done at once is an overwhelming and unrealistic task; it’s an almost sure fire way to bring frustration and depleted energy levels.

Prioritise things and work your way through them, first things first. Ask yourself whether you really do need to get everything done right now, or whether some things might just wait their turn.

6. Develop a positive mental attitude and energise yourself mentally. Talk positively to yourself every time you look in the mirror. Get in the habit of smiling back at your self on a regular basis and notice how infectious this really can become! If you just don’t feel like smiling, well, go ahead and do it anyway. Act ‘as if’ and notice the results!

You are here and you are alive and you are learning what it is that makes you satisfied and happy.

7. Set yourself realistic goals and work steadily towards those goals. The clearer and more enthusiastic you can be about your goals – your dream – the more energy you will manifest.

The world is full of inspirational stories of people who, just like you, have succeeded in realising their heart’s dream. Read about others who are or have been passionate in pursuit of their dream. Passion and energy just go hand in hand together.

8. Allow yourself to feel. When we switch off emotions, we can become stuck. Simply attempting to adopt ‘a stiff upper lip’ approach can only work for so long – and it really does come at an emotional cost, an energy depleting price. Remember that ‘what we resist persists’.

If you are having trouble coping with emotions, consider working with a professional therapist who can help you to process them. Let be and then let go is the healthiest approach and we sometimes need a little help in achieving this.

9. The single most significant change that you can make is to change your attitude. This alone can realign and re-energise every atom of your being.

One of the most effective and quickest ways of doing this is to work with a qualified hypnotherapist who knows how to help you process things at the subconscious level and move on in a balanced manner. All the energy you need is there inside you and it is available to you. It’s simply a question of knowing how to access that energy in an effective way.

Working with a knowledgeable professional really can help you when it comes to having more energy – and enjoying your life more fully.

10. Let go and let God. Do your best and then move on. You’re not God — stop judging yourself and others as if you were. Do this and just watch your energy increase!

span style=”font-size: 11pt; color: black;”>It is common to overeat from time to time. However, frequent bouts of overeating in response to emotions can be harmful to your physical and emotional wellbeing. Until recently, the medical community knew very little about the role of stress and anxiety and its effects on eating behavior.

An interesting connection has been established between emotional eating and dieting. New research highlights the effects of chronic dieting on the relationship among stress, anxiety, hunger, and eating. Researchers have discovered that ‘chronic dieters’ who are hungry will overeat when stressed; however, if they are not hungry, anxiety will have no effect on eating. The problem here of course, is the fact that chronic dieters spend much of their time in a state of hunger in an exhausting effort to lose weight. Non ‘chronic dieters’ on the other hand, don’t seem to turn to food when stressed or anxious. Again, the link to hunger is that non dieters tend to eat when they are hungry, so hunger may largely be removed from the equation. Although it may not be as simple as grouping people into categories of dieters and non-dieters, these findings demonstrate the long lasting effects of chronic fad or restrictive dieting.

So why do some turn to food when experiencing certain emotions or anxiety? Food can bring comfort and pleasure at least in the short-term. As a result, food can temporarily heal emotional problems. Eating might then become a habit that prevents us from learning skills that can effectively resolve our emotional distress.

Anxiety or depression, boredom, anger, loneliness, frustration, and stress are just some of the emotions or situations that can lead to overeating. Problems with interpersonal relationships and poor self-esteem can result in overeating and unwanted weight gain.

Before we look at the behavioral strategies of reducing the frequency of emotional eating, we should first deal with the physical component. If chronic dieting can exacerbate emotional eating then reducing hunger should dramatically improve our ability to cope with emotions in a manner other than eating. Thus dieters must introduce regular eating patterns such as eating three meals and two to three snacks per day. Although we can’t always predict when we’ll experience certain emotions, we can take measures to not be ravenously hungry when the emotions occur.

The first step in the behavioral component to stop emotional eating involves identifying triggers, or the series of events that lead to emotional eating. Once we recognize our triggers, the second step is to substitute more appropriate techniques to manage our emotional problems and take food and weight gain out of the equation.

Although you can guess which emotions and situations might lead to your overeating, it is far more effective to keep a food journal that includes the time, place and feelings that you experience when you eat. Professional lifestyle based programs can help you analyze your records and observe your behaviour rather than speculate about your habits.

Changing learned behaviors or ‘habits’ is never easy. It takes practice and a plan that lists alternatives to eating. It may be taking deep breaths, meditating, taking a bath, calling or writing a friend, or going for a walk. The best strategies involve activities that are incompatible to both the emotions you are feeling and eating.

Research shows that emotions, particularly stress and anxiety, influence our urges to eat comforting foods. You can improve your odds of choosing alternatives to eating if you can prevent ravenous hunger by eating regularly, identifying your eating triggers and learning alternative coping behaviors. Keep in mind that behaviour change is a process and the goal is to improve, not to be perfect. If you make a mistake, it’s an opportunity to improve and your confidence and health will grow with every success.

If you want to change the level of your health, here’s what you have to understand.

Most illness comes from emotional or stressful conditions that we activate from within ourselves. This includes, of course, fear and anxiety. The job we have and the people we know or live with only serve to trigger specific feeling that you are sensitive to and this activates your fear, anxiety or stress. Anxiety and stress are a force that works on your body, organs or cells causing malfunction and deterioration. Stress creates acid that resides in your cells and in your lymph liquid that surrounds your cells.

An acid body breeds sickness such as cancer. Cancer thrives in an acid body Pathogens live and multiply in an acid body. Acid breaks down cell structures and tissue.

The food you eat can contribute to an acid body or an alkaline body. Processed food creates acid in your body. Raw food reduces acid in your body and brings the state of your body to an alkaline condition.

So here is a start for you if you are interested in changing the level of your health.

Learn how to relieve stress and relax more frequently. You can do this by exercising, by working with a psychotherapist, and by using various brain relaxation tapes. You can do it by bring in more love into your life.

Learn what type of food you need to eat that will not create a lot of acid in your body. It is ok to eat acid foods but they have to be balance with alkaline foods.

Use natural remedies to relieve various conditions that you have so that you can get back to into balance. Then work on relaxation and eating naturally.

If you are on drugs start investigating how you can back off from these drugs and what alternative remedy there is that can partly take the place of your drug. Drugs create an acid body and destroy tissue.

Fear and anxiety come from suppressed traumatic memories or cellular memories, which are the cause of most diseases. What are suppressed traumatic memories and what do they do.

Well let first let me explain a little about how the body works. Under natural conditions, a cell moves in nutrients and releases toxic waste. In the cell it burns these nutrients to provide with you with energy, for repairing itself, splitting and creating new cells and performing all other functions that keep it and you healthy.

How a cell function is determined by the autonomic system. In this system, we have the para-sympathetic system and the sympathetic system. When your body is under the para-sympathetic mode, your cells and body are functioning normal and has a strong immune system to heal itself.

Under the sympathetic mode, your body is acting as if it is under attack and blood is pull from your organs and other areas that don’t need much blood and is moved to the muscles so that you can deal with the attack. This attack is typical a dangerous or life threatening situation.

Body cells under the sympathetic mode are not functioning normal. Less blood is flowing in this area means less nutrients going into the cell and less toxic matter coming out of the cell. This is the condition that produces disease.

Now here is important information that brings all this together. Many people feel that they are under a condition of constant attack – feeling fear and anxiety – even though they really are not. In this feeling of attack they express it as fear, stress, anxiety, anger, jealousy, and all types of negative behaviors.

People are typically under the sympathetic mode in which they are in automatic fight or flight mode. They are not even conscious of this because this is normal for them. Well, this is the condition where disease is created. When disease sets in, the cells cannot heal this disease since its immune system is weak and its cellular strengthen is gone from lack of nutrients and a build up of toxic wastes in the cells.

Stress and anxiety creates disease and all though history, people have been told to have some sort of stress management program such as exercise, yoga, psychotherapy, drugs, laughing, or any movement program.

Most people don’t bother having a so called stress management program because they have no way of monitoring it to see if their stress is decreasing and doing these programs takes time.

So work on your health and eat more alkaline foods and start on a stress reduction program.

Anxiety affects roughly 6.8 million adults and plenty more children. The good news about stress, anxiety and panic attacks is that they are often quite controllable. If you happen to be someone who regularly suffers from them, here are a few techniques you can practice to help keep your anxiety under control.

1. Take Care of Yourself

Treating anxiety involves taking care of both your body and your mind. Make sure that you eat a diet that is well balanced and is full of whole grains as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. It might be helpful to keep a journal of everything you eat because some anxiety attacks can be triggered by allergies to certain foods. Keep away from alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and sugar as all of these can trigger panic and anxiety attacks.

2. Try Not To Worry About Tomorrow

A lot of anxiety attacks are brought on by fear of the future. By focusing on your current situation instead of worrying about what is to come, you could do a lot to keep your anxiety under control. There is a reason the saying “one day at a time” is so popular. Some support groups even use it as a motto.

3. Stay Active

It is important that you follow your usual routines, even when you are experiencing high levels of anxiety. By following a regular routine you will be better able to focus on something besides your anxiety which can do a great deal to keep you calm. Staying physically active with exercise is another great way to reduce your stress–stress that has an adverse affect on your anxiety levels.

4. Break Your Routine

While it is important to follow a normal schedule, it is entirely possible that part of that daily routine is responsible for part of your anxiety. By changing things up once in a while or by doing something that is completely out of the ordinary, you can curb your anxiety by introducing some excitement into your life.

5. Seek Medical Attention

If you have tried everything you can think of to curb your stress and it keeps coming back, you might be suffering from an anxiety disorder. An anxiety disorder can only be diagnosed by a licensed mental health professional, and if your anxiety is so strong that it needs medication to stay under control, it is your licensed therapist that can prescribe the medication that you need.

By: Terry Edwards (Download Natural Treatment for Anxiety Now!)

About the Author:

It is no secret that stress and anxiety are a big problem in today’s world. Everyone today seems to be working harder, staying at work later, juggling family and career, and otherwise burning the candle at both ends. This multitasking can help us be more productive, but it also causes greater levels of stress, and stress and anxiety continue to top surveys of the top problems in people’s lives.

A quick look at the pharmacy or health food store can reveal a lot about just how serious the stress and anxiety problem is in today’s modern world. There are a host of prescription medications designed solely for fighting stress, and the health food stores are full of herbs, powders and potions that promise to relieve stress and help us relax.

Of course these remedies are not appropriate for everyone, and anyone who feels that stress is a problem should be sure to consult with their physician for advice. Some prescription medications, and even many over the counter and herbal stress remedies, can have harmful side effects, so it is important to gather as much information as possible before seeking a pharmaceutical solution to your stress.

In many cases, the natural approach to relieving stress and anxiety is the best way to proceed. There are many natural ways to fight stress and anxiety, including meditation, yoga and simply getting enough sleep. No one approach is right for everyone, and it is important to tailor your anxiety cure to your own needs.

One of the major causes of stress and anxiety is simple lack of sleep. All too few of us get the recommended eight hours of sleep a night, and in many cases our sleep is disturbed during the night. Simply sleeping through the night, whether through the use of prescription sleep medications or good sleeping habits and sleep hygiene, can have a huge impact on reducing stress and anxiety.

Reducing anxiety can have a big impact on our health. Many of the most serious diseases today are brought on by stress and anxiety, so reducing anxiety can actually improve our physical as well as our mental health. Dealing with stress and anxiety issues will not be easy, but there are many advantages to getting those problems under control. Not only does stress affect our relationships and our mental well being, but it can have a significant impact on our physical lives as well. Getting those things that are bothering you behind you can give you real peace of mind, and it may even improve your health.

By: Mike Freemen (Anxiety Treatment eBook – FREE)

About the Author:

Several natural cures for anxiety are available now that give you the chance to treat yourself from the comfort of your home. The most popular are Panic Away and The Linden Method.

Old and outdated techniques such as deep-breathing and light therapies require time and might not prove effective. After a 2 months of deep research I managed to find 3 remedies that prove effective. I’ve suffered from horrible panic attacks for many years, I can barely remember those times, and I do not feel comfortable with such memories. Anxiety is a mind disorder which has to be treated. You are the only one that is able to do it, it is not easy, however there are remedies for anxiety that can help.

Here is my list of the top remedies for anxiety that helped thousands of patients.

Panic Away

Regardless of you have been taught about your condition, panic attacks and anxieties can be treated without any medication or therapies, which might have proved useless. Panic Away is a complete guide to cure anxiety naturally, created by Joe Barry, a former anxiety suffer. Simply use the methods taught in Panic Away and you will feel a lot calmer, more confident and happy. Panic Away cures anxiety literally in a few days.

There is a free email course that you can subscribe for to get more convinced. Joe Barry describes some unique and effective tactics, that have been put together not only to cure anxiety, but extinguish it forever out of your life, after ten whole years of deep research. In my opinion Panic Away is the most effective natural cure for anxiety.

The tactics described in Panic Away are unbelievable, easy to follow and they work really fast. You can’t go wrong, anxiety and panic attacks can be treated.

The Linden Method

Charles Linden, the creator of the Linden Method is a former anxiety suffer. He is one of the sufferers that had to go through 10 years of continuous stress, anxiety and panic attacks. Finally he discovered that there is a misconception when people blame anxiety for chemical imbalances in the brain. In fact what triggers anxiety is a small organ situated in the lower part of brain called the Amygdala. The Amygdala triggers panic attacks and anxiety whenever you are exposed to high-stress.

This course is available on cds and ebook format that are fully downloadable. If you decide to cure your anxiety completely, then the Linden Method is a natural cure for anxiety that you have to try. Charles offers a ‘One Year Email Support’ for everyone that decides to join The Linden Method and cure anxiety for good.

By: Alex (Anxiety Treatment eBook – FREE)

About the Author:

I have met people suffering from anxiety that had no apparent reasons to suffer from this illness. I am one of the happy recovered former sufferers thanks to one great program that happened to work for me and other thousands of people that have joined. Usually they tend to isolate themselves and completely avoid social activities, in short life cannot go on.

Some of the most common symptoms of anxiety include racing heart beats, difficulty breathing, headaches, stomach upset, dizziness, and fear. During an anxiety attack sufferers may feel as if they are having a heart attack, and even think of dying, however it has never happened, they are just normal symptoms.

Anxiety attacks are often triggered by highly stressful situations. Most anxiety attacks sufferers rush to the emergency room when experimenting their first panic attack, which is not really what should be done. They soon realize that it is only anxiety what makes them feel this way and they usually further seek for medication and help. You are the only one in charge of your anxiety, no one else can really do much about it, except several methods that you can put into practice to overcome your anxiety and panic attacks. Chances are that begin the process of recovery and live a normal life once again, however do not wait a moment longer and take action.

There are a variety of solutions to overcome anxiety available, and some even allow you to treat yourself from the comfort of your own home.

By: Alex (Free Treatment for Anxiety eBook)

About the Author:

We all live lives that are crammed with meetings, deadlines, and tons of stuff that can leave us stressed, anxious, and frazzled at the end of the day. Stress and anxiety can ruin our health. It affects our sleep, our energy, makes us look and feel older, and can even lead to various diseases and disorders. That’s why it’s important to take time out of our hectic day to relax. One of the best ways to relieve the stress and anxiety is with natural remedies. When used correctly, natural remedies can help you feel calm and relaxed. There are tons of remedies for stress and anxiety out there. The following are are some of the most effective:

Kava kava. This herb has been used for stress relief and relaxation, easing anxiety, and curing insomnia. The effects are considered to be similar to the prescription drug valium, but generally without the “mental fog” feeling. It is available in capsule, beverage, tablet, tincture, and extract form. Since the effects are so potent, you need to monitor its effect on you and should be careful what you do after taking it. Possible side effects include a potential for severe liver damage, blurred vision, nausea, loss of appetite, and shortness of breath. It can also negatively interact with any medication you may be on, so consult your physician before adding kava to your self-care regimen.

Lavender. Many people rely on lavender and other essential oils as a natural remedy to soothe crying, fussy babies. These oils have the same calming effect on adults as well. You can use it in the same way you would use other essential oils such as in a bath or in a sachet bag or pillow. There is rarely any bad side effects when using essential oils as a natural remedy, other than a possible allergic reaction to the oil or its scent.

Valerian. Sometimes referred to as “herbal Valium,” this natural remedy is widely used to relieve anxiety and insomnia. It calms the nervous system, making you feel calm and relaxed instead of stressed. In addition, since it helps you get a great night’s sleep, you’ll feel more refreshed and ready to face the next day. Available in capsule, tincture, liquid, extract, crude herb, and tea forms, there is no standard dose of valerian. Possible side effects through prolonged use include irregular heartbeat, headache, uneasiness, restlessness and insomnia. Like kava kava, this natural remedy can negatively interact with any medication you may be taking, so consult your physician before adding valerian to your regimen.

Tryptophan/5-HTP. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that the body uses to increase serotonin levels and manufacture niacin. 5-HTP is a close “cousin” to the amino acid and also increases the production of serotonin. Among other things, serotonin helps ease depression, anxiety, and the sensation of pain. Available in supplement form, there is no standard dose for treatment of anxiety with tryptophan/5-HTP. Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, and breathing difficulties. It may also negatively interact with medication you may be taking, so please consult your physician before adding tryptophan/5-HTP to your regimen.

With many prescriptions and over the counter medications, you can see an effect almost immediately. However, most natural remedies require longer periods of time to work before the full effect of the treatment is evident. If taken properly and with patience, these natural remedies can provide a safe and effective alternative to conventional drugs with fewer side effects. You should also talk to your doctor before starting any natural remedy supplement because they may have drug interactions.

Hopefully one or more of these remedies will relieve the stress and anxiety created by a busy life and help you lead a more relaxing and peaceful one.

By: Sandra Hishinuma (Download Natural Treatment for Anxiety Now!)

About the Author:

Although many people tend to use the words “stress” and “anxiety” interchangeably, they are actually two separate conditions. Stress is a reaction to a stimulus, which can be external or internal. You may experience stress when you feel frustrated with something (like waiting in line behind a slow person) or when you are worried that you will not meet expectations (such as missing a deadline at work).

Anxiety, on the other hand, is a sense of dread, or nervousness and fear. It can be caused by negative thoughts and expectations, or as a response to stress. You may feel anxious virtually all of the time and not know why, or your feelings may be a response to something you are nervous about, like an upcoming exam.

Abnormal levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain may cause generalized anxiety. Some studies indicate that anxiety can be hereditary. Anxiety may also be induced environmentally, as when the child of a parent who is often anxious becomes an anxious person by observing the parent. But frequently, the root cause of anxiety is simply the thoughts in a person’s mind!

Anxiety and stress are subjective conditions. Different people may experience stress during different situations, and different people may react to their anxiousness in very different ways. Symptoms of anxiety can range from the mild, such as sweaty hands and tense muscles, to the severe, such as irregular heartbeat, vomiting, and anxiety attacks.

Everyone experiences feelings of anxiety from time to time. All of us have experienced the dry mouth and “butterflies in the stomach” before a test or public speaking engagement. But when does it become harmful to your health? Studies have revealed that chronic anxiety can lead to sleep disorders, relationship problems, depression, and high blood pressure

For sufferers of long-term untreated anxiety, there can be negative health consequences that have yet to be fully explored. Many studies have found a link between chronic anxiety and a variety of serious health conditions including cancer, thyroid disease, arthritis, heart disease, and respiratory illness. Chronically anxious people may even be more likely to suffer a fatal cardiac attack.

If you experience what seems like an inappropriately high amount of anxiety relative to the situation, or if you feel anxious nearly every day, you may actually have an anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorders are chronic conditions characterized by one’s inability to function normally because of frequent anxiety. Anxiety disorders are serious conditions that should be treated to lower the risk of long-term negative health effects.

Anxiety treatment has long been the subject of much discussion in the medical community. Some medical professionals feel that medication is the best treatment for chronic anxiety. Unfortunately, anxiety medications often produce serious side effects that are just as bad as or even worse than the initial condition.

There are many natural, non-invasive ways to handle negative emotional responses. Exercise is one that is often overlooked by anxious people, but it is highly effective. Exercise causes your body to release endorphins, which are natural mood-boosting and pain-killing chemicals. With regular exercise, you may start to experience a decrease in negative emotional reactions to situations that would have previously made you extremely anxious.

The best way to cope with tension and worry is to control it from the inside out. Stress relief and stress management techniques are very valuable tools in handling day-to-day stress. These techniques can teach you to relax yourself and relieve your tension. You make a conscious effort to slow your breathing rate, release the tension, and remain in a calm state of mind. Meditation is a form of tension control in which you focus on thoughtful relaxation and deep, calming breathing.

However, if you seek a proactive solution to relieve yourself of anxiety, hypnosis is by far the most effective form of treatment. When a person undergoes hypnosis, their reactions and emotional responses to events are changed at their core. This provides them with the opportunity to cope with anxiety-inducing triggers without the usual fear and nervousness.

Hypnosis can be performed by a licensed hypnotist in a series of regular treatments. More commonly today, hypnosis is available in the form of self hypnosis programs which are available in the form of DVDs, MP3s, or CDs for individual home usage. No special skills are required to perform self hypnosis. All you need is a device to play the hypnosis program and a quiet space where you can relax and listen.

Another successful type of anxiety treatment is Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP. NLP is a type of therapy that helps you condition yourself to naturally react to situations in a more positive way. You can consciously decide to stay calm rather than anxious, and consequently, you are always in control of your own feelings.

It is evident that it is important to be able to manage our negative emotional responses in order to stay healthy. Understanding how to deal with nervousness and fear can even extend your life. To treat chronic anxiety, the best course of action is to participate in hypnotherapy to change your attitudes and reactions from within. Then, use stress management techniques as needed to keep calm in everyday situations.

By: Alan Densky (Get FREE Anxiety Treatment)

About the Author:

One way to cope with a lot of stress or anxiety is to use your imagination. Believe it or not, your ability to imagine can be a powerful way to decrease feelings of anxiety.

First, pick a scenario that you find relaxing and safe. For some people, their bedroom is a relaxing and safe place. For others, sitting on a warm beach might be a favorite spot.

Once you’ve picked a scenario, try to identify as many details as you can that will help to make the scenario realistic. For example, if you choose a warm beach by the ocean, first paint a picture in your mind of what the waves sound like… then, add the feeling of the warm sun on your face… you might include what the sand feels like on your feet… and the smell of the salty air.

The goal is to create as vivid of a picture that you can. You should try to include all of your senses – touch, taste, smell, hearing, and vision. Vision is usually the easiest, but be sure to include all of your other senses. Have fun creating your personalized image!

Once you have picked and created the scenario, you should find a quiet place to practice imagining your scenario. You should try your best to put yourself IN the scenario. In other words, you should take the viewpoint of the main actor in the scene, rather than that of an onlooker. For example, if you are lying on your towel at the beach in your scenario, as you imagine looking down, you should be looking through your own eyes, and you should notice and feel your towel actually underneath you (vs. imagining watching somebody lying on their towel and looking down).

If you are having difficulty identifying a relaxing and safe scenario, you might want to try one of the already-mentioned examples or one of the following:

1. Getting a relaxing massage

2. Petting your favorite, snuggly pet

3. Sitting in a lawn chair in the backyard with a cool breeze

4. Taking a drive through the picturesque countryside

5. Listening to a nearby, gurgling stream

The actual scenario you pick should be one that fits you – and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a situation where you are passive or sitting quietly – it only has to be somewhere you feel comfortable and relaxed. For example, a seasoned pilot may find that imagining himself/herself flying a plane through the clear blue skies is relaxing and comfortable. Or, a skilled downhill skier might imagine himself/herself gliding down the mountain through the fluffy powder.

Once you have identified your personalized scenario, you should practice engaging in the imagery. First, practice in a quiet place. When you are able to pull up the image in the snap of a finger, you are ready to use it when you need a relief from stress or anxiety.

Why does imagery help to decrease anxiety? When you imagine a pleasant scenario, you are distracted away from the anxiety-provoking situation. In addition, and possibly even more importantly, you are actually able to activate the physiological activity that is associated with positive emotion. Thus, you are actually activating the muscles that create a smile on your face (even if you aren’t actually visibly smiling while you do the imagery). You are also likely activating physical responses such as decreased muscle tension and decreased heart rate, which work in opposition to the feelings of anxiety.

By: Tamas Gloetzer (Free Download Anxiety Treatment eBook)

About the Author:

Anxiety is a common feeling for most people at some point or another. When fear, nervousness or worry become a chronic problem, however, they can progress into a more serious anxiety disorder.

While anxiety starts in the mind, it can lead to physical symptoms as well. Increased heartrate, stomach problems and headaches are all physical symptoms that can be related to anxiety.

When a person faces an event or situation that causes stress or fear, they experience a response known as “fight or flight.” This response has been part of our instincts since the earliest man. One of the results of this response – and anxiety in general – is a depression of the immune system. If the anxiety is more serious, it can lead to an ongoing suppression of the immune system which can increase the chance of infection, disease and sickness.

Along with anxiety, phobias and panic attacks can also result in similar symptoms. And unfortunately, when these things progress beyond the average day-to-day stresses that we all deal with, they can become unmanageable.

People suffering from anxiety and panic disorders often worry about when their next attack will occur. This can lead to more stress and anxiety, resulting in an ongoing cycle.

There are a number of treatments that are used to treat anxiety disorders. These include medications, therapy and alternative methods such as Aromatherapy and supplement regimes.

There is no single best treatment – everyone will respond to different methods, or in many cases a combination of more than one. If you think you may be suffering from anxiety or stress, the best course of action is to visit your doctor to get a thorough diagnosis.

They can help you determine what is causing the problem as well as the best treatment method for your particular case. The earlier you can seek medical advice the better, because the longer the problem is left untreated, the more serious it will become.

By: Shane Baxter (Free Download Anxiety Treatment eBook)

About the Author:

Panic symptoms which lead to a panic attack can occur for a variety of reasons. The main reasons are stress or anxiety in modern day life although some people still suffer from traumatic experiences from their childhood which resurface as memories in adult life when a certain trigger occurs.

Whatever the cause, there are treatments available and not just medication prescribed by a medical practitioner. The best treatments for panic symptoms are natural and holistic and not necessarily prescription drug related. The problem with medication is that firstly it can have adverse side effects and secondly it may do nothing to find and then alleviate the root causes of the problem. Even worse, the patient may become addicted to the prescription drugs and their condition gets much worse rather than improving.

One of the keys to recovery is to be fit and healthy. Simple steps such as taking more exercise have been shown to make a huge difference. It does not have to be strenuous exercise either – just a few minutes walking, cycling, swimming, dancing etc is all that is needed. Anything that is of a physical nature will aid in reducing the effects of panic symptoms.

Another step is to avoid stimulants. These include caffeine, nicotine, strong teas, cola, chocolate, energy drinks etc. Anything which has a stimulating effect on the body should be avoided as during panic symptoms the person has a raised level of adrenalin. Therefore, the body must be kept as calm as possible and stimulants go counter to this. Try to keep your heart rate as low as possible and this will reduce the effect of a panic attack. If at all possible try to keep track of your diet. By doing this you may notice a trend between what you eat and when a panic attack occurs. Stop eating those foods which may trigger an attack and remember to eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.

A further major factor in keeping healthy is to get enough rest. The amount of sleep needed varies greatly from person to person. The average amount required is somewhere between seven and nine hours of sleep a night to rejuvenate your mind and body. A person who is tired is much more prone to panic symptoms than a person who gets regular rest. Finally, it might help to take vitamin supplements such as vitamin B and minerals such as calcium and magnesium. These have been demonstrated to have a calming effect on the body’s nervous system.

If you take all of the above factors into consideration then you may be on the way to alleviating and even curing your panic symptoms.

By: John Nuttall (Free Treatment for Anxiety eBook)

About the Author:
